How to get Ayato in Genshin Impact
The opportunity to get Ayato will appear in the second half patch 4.2 since 28 November by 18 December 2023. All constellations are released only during the duration of the “Azure March” banner.

Characteristics of Ayato: what swings when elevated
Ayato's main stat is a bonus to critical damage. In addition to increasing crit. damage, with each level increasing HP, attack power and defense. All values are presented in the table below.

Ayato's abilities
Ayato is a powerful character with a unique elemental skill. It can play the role of both the main dd and sup-dd. He will mainly deal damage with his elemental abilities in solo or reacting with other elements. Next, we will analyze in detail how all Ayato's abilities work, and in what order they should be pumped.
Basic skills (active skills)
- Kamisato Art: Marobashi (Normal/Charged/Drop Attack)
Inflicts up to 5 quick sword slashes with a normal attack.
When using a charged attack, lunges forward and performs an iai (sudden attack art). Falling attack inflicts P. AoE damage.
- Kamisato Art: Kyoka (Elemental Skill) - the main one for dealing damage (replaces the first skill because Ayato relies on Hydro damage). Damage from this skill DOES NOT DEPEND from simple attacks.
Dash forward, leaving her Hydro Shell in place, and then enter Takimeguri Kanka's special state. When the created illusion is attacked by enemies or the time on the battlefield expires, it explodes, dealing Hydro damage in an area.
In the state of Takimeguri Kanka, Ayato uses Shunsuiken. Light attacks become much faster and deal Hydro damage in an area. Charged attacks and falling attacks are blocked.
Features of Takimeguri Kanka:
- Shunsuiken hitting enemies triggers the effect Namisen, which increases the damage of subsequent attacks in proportion to Ayato's maximum HP. The effect can stack up to 4 times, and occur no more than once every 0,1 seconds.
- Increases resistance to interruption.

- Kamisato Art: Suyu (Elemental Burst)
When activated on the ground, a large area is formed. Enemies within it are hit by Hydro Blades. At the same time, characters that are in the circle receive a bonus to normal attacks.
Skill features:
- Ult snapshot mechanics, that is, if it is applied at the time of the damage buff, then the bonus will be valid until the end of the ult (for example, if you give Ayato's ult a few seconds before the end of Bennet's ult, then the buff will last until the end of Ayato's ult).
- Generates 36 hydro-slams in an area during the duration of the ult, which are evenly distributed among the enemies. IMPORTANT! If you ult into the boss and he is the only opponent, then he will have no more than 11 skill hits.
The order of pumping
For the main DPS: We pump the elemental skill and the explosion of the elements in parallel to each other to level 6, since they are the main ones for dealing damage. Then E-shku can be raised to level 8-9 and then tighten the ult. Auto-attacks are practically not used, so they can be upgraded to 6th.
For secondary DPS: we focus on the explosion of the elements, pumping it up to level 8-9. The elemental skill does not apply in this case, but it can be pumped up to level 6 for more own damage. Normal attacks are left unchanged.

Constellations

- C1: the effectiveness of the constellation is highly dependent on the situation, making it generally unreliable and insignificant. Total DPS increase: 5%.
- C2: a strong constellation that increases Namisen levels and HP when 3 or more levels are present, increasing overall damage and survivability. A good consta for those who plan to knock out only a couple of constellations. DPS increase from C1: 10,7% Total DPS increase: 16.3%.
- C3: is already strong just because it gives levels to its main source of damage. That being said, increasing Namisen's HP-based level scaling means that this constellation actually improves his C2 as well. All in all, a good investment. DPS increase over C2: 18,8%. Total DPS increase: 38.1%.
- C4: allows you to use 2 or 3 more Shunsuiken attacks per skill. Overall, a solid damage boost. DPS increase over C3: 14,4% Cumulative DPS increase: 58.0%.
- C5: Ayato's elemental explosion is not his main source of damage, and therefore the const is ineffective. Of course, for a sup-dd position it will not be superfluous, but it is not so advisable to knock out so many copies of the character for leveling as a semi-support. Advantages and disadvantages of Ayato
Ayato's Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst unlock the ability to create powerful reactions. The hero will easily fit into many teams, but, like any character, he has strengths and weaknesses.

Best builds for Ayato in Genshin Impact
Kamisato Ayato is a character with a unique combination of uses Hydro out of the field using ult and applying quick burst damage with an elemental skill. Simplicity combined with high damage output makes him an interesting and versatile hero that fits in well with most teams. The head of the clan can act as both a primary and a secondary DPS. For both positions, you need to look in artifacts and weapons for:

Optimal characteristic values:
- Attack Power: from 1900-2000 units and above.
- Chance of crit and crit. damage: ratio 1:2 (60 ksh and 120 ku) and above.
- Energy recovery with second Hydro: 140-150%, without Hydro: 200%+, without Hydro (with Raiden): 130-150%. If there is a team weapons favonia the requirement for RE is reduced by about 10%.

Composition of the squad for Ayato
Ayato will fit well into the units based on reactions. It is important that the second DPS hero can maintain the status on enemies for a long time. For example, his sister would be a wonderful choice. Ayaka thanks to the ability to cover a large area. She can be replaced Ganyu or Laila, which have a similar burst of elements. Paired with Ayato's ult, all enemies will constantly stand still.
