Detailed guide to Harlequin in Genshin impact — Pyro Spearwoman, playing from Life Debt. Her mechanics allow her to independently apply a debuff to herself and at the same time block third-party healing, which forces her to choose the right supports for survivability.
The heroine's main damage comes from normal attacks, which, with a Life Debt of 30%+, color her spear strikes with Pyro Infusion. Harlequin can play both in teams through various reactions and in a mono-squad, since her passive abilities do not depend on the composition of the group's elements. At the same time, she prefers shielders over healers, since she cannot accept healing in battle.
In the game's plot, Harlequin is the fourth of Harbingers of Fatui, a skilled and ruthless diplomat known as the Servant. She is the manager of the shelter Hearth House, created for orphans who are raised as siblings. For children, Harlequin is a mentor, preparing them to later join the ranks of the soldiers and spies of Fatui. As a playable character, he has a legendary rarity, owns Pyro elements and spear.

History of Harlequin (biography)
Harlequin from Genshin Impact is known as the Servant, the fourth of the Harbingers of Fatui. In Snezhnaya, she owns the Hearth House, where children are raised as a family and prepared to join the ranks of Fatui's soldiers and spies. All of her charges call her “Father” as a sign of respect and honor. It is known that the shelter was previously run by a person who had a conflict with one of the pupils. This child is believed to have been Arlecchino, who subsequently took over the duties of manager.
The Harbinger got its name in honor of the character of the Italian commedia dell'arte - Arlecchino, the mask of the northern or Venetian quartet. He appears as a zanni servant, cheerful, lazy and not very smart, which often leads him to funny or tragic situations. Harlequin is the most famous character of the square theater.

Harlequin's abilities
Harlequin is a damage dealer who deals fire damage with abilities and a series of normal attacks with Pyro infusion. However, the fourth Harbinger of Fatui offers a unique playstyle that relies on the mechanics of Life Debt gained through an elemental skill.
Life debt - a negative status that absorbs incoming healing and is displayed as a red outline on the health bar. To get rid of it, you need to restore health by an amount corresponding to the size of the red bar. You can find out more in a separate guide how the mechanics of Life Debt work.
The status can only be removed by the heroine herself, using the built-in treatment for the explosion of the elements. For this reason, to maximize damage and survivability, it is important to maintain a rotation and keep a close eye on your current Life Debt to use the debuff to your advantage.
Next, we will analyze in detail the principle of operation of Harlequin’s skills and in what order they should be upgraded. We will separately consider passive skills and recommended constellations.
Basic skills (active skills)
Invitation to execution (normal, charged, fall attack)
Normal attack: Performs up to 6 hits.
Charged attack: Consumes stamina by lunging towards an enemy and attacking them. Long press moves rapidly for 5 seconds and continues to drain stamina.
Attack in the fall: Flies to the ground, attacking all enemies in its path. After landing, it deals area damage.
Mask of the Red Death
If there is a Life Debt equal to or greater than 30% of Harlequin's maximum HP, she gains the Mask of the Red Death condition: normal, charged, and fall attacks are converted to Pyro damage. The effect cannot be reversed by another infusion. In this state, a normal attack deals additional damage to the opponent proportional to the attack power multiplied by a percentage of the current Life Debt, and removes 7,5% of that Life Debt.
Life debt is spent once every 1 seconds. When Life Debt is spent this way, the cooldown of an elemental skill is reduced by 0,03 seconds.
By default, normal attacks deal physical damage. However, if Harlequin has a Life Debt debuff equal to 30% or more from its max. health, she automatically enters the Mask of the Red Death state.
The mask gives all of Pyro's attacks an infusion and increases the damage of a regular poke depending on the attack power and the current Life Debt. Each hit consumes a debuff scale and reduces the cooldown of the skill.
Additionally, it is worth highlighting the charged attack, which, when held for a long time, allows you to move faster (like Mona in a sprint), hover over the ground and water surface for 5 seconds. During rapid movement, 40 units of stamina per second are consumed.
Everything turns to dust (elemental skill)
Cooldown time: 30 sec.
Energy generation: 5 particles.
Deal damage to nearby Pyro enemies and perform a lunge that deals damage to Pyro in an area. Enemies hit are inflicted with the Decree of Blood Debt.
Decree of bloody duty
There are 30 seconds. Damages Pyro up to 2 times every 5 seconds, and this counts as elemental skill damage.
When using a charged attack or elemental burst, it absorbs and removes the Decrees of Blood Debt from nearby targets. Each Blood Debt Decree removed grants her Life Debt equal to 65% of her max. HP.
Within 35 sec. you can get a Life Debt not exceeding 145% of the max. health. If you reapply the email at this time. skill, calculation of duration and limit of Life Debt starts all over again.
Using the Elemental Skill (E), Harlequin charges forward, dealing Pyro damage to nearby enemies and inflicting the Blood Duty Decree mark on them (displayed as a cross).
If you make a charged attack or activate an ult, all marks will be absorbed. In turn, for each mark removed, the heroine will receive 65% of the Life Debt. That is, the more goals, the greater the final Life Debt, but not more than 145% for one use of the E-shka.
The decree of blood debt has 2 levels. Immediately after using the skill, 1 level is given - 65% of Life Debt. If you then wait 5 seconds, the mark will increase to level 2 and give 130% Life Debt. If there are several opponents, Harlequin receives 65% for each. For example, in a battle against 2 enemies there will be 130% at once, against 3 - 145% for one E-shka, since this is the limit. The limit can be exceeded by repeated use of the skill or sign.
Doom Moon Rising (Elemental Explosion)
Energy consumption: 60 units
Cooldown time: 15 sec.
Deals Pyro damage in an area, refreshes the cooldown of an elemental skill, and restores health depending on Life Debt and attack power.
The ultimate deals fairly high Pyro damage in an area, rolls back the skill, removes marks from all enemies and heals Arlequin. The treatment completely removes Life Debt, resetting its value to zero. Elemental Explosion should be used at the beginning or end of the rotation after E-shka.
❗️Note, that during the battle you can only heal with your ult. Allies' healing abilities will not work.❗️
The order of leveling talents
Normal Attacks > Elemental Burst (Q) > Elemental Skill (E)
It is recommended to upgrade all of Harlequin's abilities, since each of the skills is used in rotation. If there is a shortage of resources, the priority will be as follows:
- Normal attacks - the main source of damage. While equipped with Life Debt, Harbinger receives Pyro Infusion and can perform enhanced attacks while in Mask of the Red Death state.
- Explosion of the elements - area damage and health restoration. This is the only working method of treatment, so the heroine’s survival directly depends on the ult.
- Elemental Skill — damage to several enemies and the imposition of the Order of Blood Debt. Upgrading this skill only affects the damage dealt, but it is lower than other skills.
Passive skills
List of all Harlequin's passive abilities:
Only ashes will satisfy | During Pyro's fight, Harlequin's damage increases by 40%, but she can only be healed by her ult. |
Only suffering will atone | The Decree of Blood Debt has the following characteristics:
The amount of Life Debt gained through these methods cannot exceed the original Life Debt limit specified in the elemental skill. |
Only strength will protect |
For every 100 units. attack power over 1000 units. Harlequin gains 1% resistance to all elements and physical damage. resistance. Maximum - 20%. To achieve max. value requires 3000 attack power. |
Constellations
All Harlequin constellations:
“I will bear all retribution and responsibility...” | The Red Death Mask's condition is further enhanced by 100%. Additionally, when Harlequin with the Mask of the Red Death status (under Pyro Infusion) performs normal or charged attacks, her interrupt resistance increases. |
“I will repay for good deeds and sins...” |
The Blood Debt Decree applied immediately becomes Blood Debt: Retaliation. By absorbing Blood Debt: Retaliation, Harlequin releases Doommoon Flame in front of him, dealing AoE damage equal to 900% of Pyro's attack power and over 15 sec. increases elemental and physical resistance by 20%. This effect can only trigger once every 10 seconds. Requires unlocking the passive talent “Only suffering can be redeemed.” |
"You will become a new member of our family..." | Increases the level of the Invitation to Execution skill (basic attack) by 3. Max. level: 15. |
“From now on, love and protect each other...” | When Harlequin absorbs the Decree of Blood Duty, the cooldown of the elemental explosion is reduced by 2 sec. and 15 units are restored. energy. The effect is triggered once every 1 seconds. |
"Alone, we're as good as dead" | Increases the skill level of Doommoon Rising (Elemental Burst) by 3. Max. level: 15. |
"Let's enjoy our new life together" |
The damage of Doommoon Rising (Elemental Burst) increases in proportion to the attack power multiplied by 700% of the current Life Debt percentage. Within 20 sec. After using “Everyone turns to dust” (elemental skill), her normal attacks and elemental explosion have a critical chance. hits increase by 10%, and crit. damage increases by 70%. The effect can occur once every 15 sec. |
The best constellations of Harlequin: С1, С3 и С6.
- first constellation buffs attacks with Pyro infusion - the character’s main source of damage. In addition, it makes it easier to perform combos due to its resistance to interruption when performing normal or charged attacks while in the Mask of the Red Death state.
- Third constellation adds 3 levels to basic attack. This allows you to upgrade the ability to the maximum level of 15 and provides an additional increase in damage without any conditions.
- sixth constellation enhances the elemental explosion depending on the current Life Debt. Another tangible bonus is the increase in crit. indicators for normal attacks and ultimate after using an elemental skill. The above has a positive effect on the final damage.
How to play as Harlequin
Harlequin's gameplay is centered around mechanics Life debt, which she casts on herself during combat. To do this, you need to use a skill to place the Decree of Blood Debt on your enemies, and then remove it with a charged attack or an elemental explosion. If the current Life Debt is 30% or more, normal attacks are converted to Pyro damage, which is the Harbinger's main source of damage.
The main difficulty lies in immunity to incoming healing from supports or food. The only way to restore health is to explode the elements. Although it is not necessary to constantly use the ultimate if you evade enemy attacks in time or place a support character with a strong shield in your squad.
Rotation
Procedure:
E (elemental skill) > supports/sub-dampers > charged attack > normal attacks > E (elemental skill) > Q (elemental burst)
Let's take a closer look at the Harlequin rotation:
- Use an elemental skill to place the Decree of Blood Debt on your enemies.
- Switch to supports and use skills that work outside the battlefield or buffs.
- Return to Harlequin and perform a charged attack to remove the Decree of Blood Debt from your opponents and place the Life Debt on the heroine.
- Use normal attacks filled with infusion until the Pyro effect ends (about 14-16 hits).
- Use the elemental skill again to create energy particles.
- Activate an elemental explosion that will restore health and reset the cooldown of E-shki.
If there are no problems with survival, you can refuse the ult and continue the rotation. This will allow you to exceed the 145% limit per skill and thus deal even more damage.
At the same time, an elemental explosion can be used at any stage of the battle if it is necessary to heal. The main thing after this is to always activate the elemental skill.
Advantages and disadvantages of Harlequin
Let's look at the strengths and weaknesses of the Harbinger.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Universal and strong damage dealer. Harlequin, being a representative of the fire element, can engage in almost all reactions (first and second order), while inflicting high damage with his abilities, normal or charged attacks. | May be difficult for beginners. Gameplay is built around the Life Debt debuff, which absorbs healing but is important for getting infusions. All this is complemented by its own specific mechanics and the need to maintain rotation to maximize damage and survivability. |
Possesses Piro infusion. With Life Debt equal to or greater than 30% max. HP, all of Harlequin's attacks are converted to Pyro damage. The effect has no time limit and depends solely on the current Life Debt. | External sources of healing do not work during battle. Thanks to the passive skill “Only Ashes Will Satisfy”, Arlequin receives a 40% bonus to Pyro damage, but in return is only healed by an elemental explosion. You cannot use healing from supports or dishes, which further complicates the gameplay. |
Effective against single and multiple targets. The attacks have a good range and allow you to damage both one enemy and an area. Elemental skill and elemental burst also deal damage to a group of enemies. | Without C1 there is no interrupt protection. Most damage is dealt in a series of normal attacks, increasing the chance of being stunned by an enemy hit. If there is no 1st constellation, you will have to dodge in time or place a shield member in the squad. |
Can move quickly and hover above the surface. After using and holding a charged attack, flies over water and inclined surfaces for 5 seconds. Flight speed is affected by any sprint bonuses, such as food or passive skills. | Only signature weapons are ideally combined with Harlequin mechanics. The outline of the scarlet moon gives Life Debt and, depending on its value, increases damage. Among other copies, there are not many truly suitable options, especially free ones. It is impossible not to note the unique effect of transforming the signa into a braid. |
With elevation, crit increases. damage, which simplifies the selection of balanced characteristics in artifacts and makes it possible to focus on pumping up the critical chance. hits or other stats. | |
The average cost of an elemental explosion is 60 units. energy. Harlequin is the main damage dealer and has been on the battlefield the longest, so she doesn’t need to collect a lot of energy recovery and sacrifice offensive stats in order to use her ultimate on cooldown. |

Best Harlequin Builds in Genshin Impact
Harlequin acts as a main DD and plays from the mechanics of Life Debt - an effect that absorbs incoming healing. In combat, she relies on normal attacks infused with Pyro Infusion, an elemental skill to gain Life Debt, and an elemental burst that deals area damage and restores health. Moreover, the ultimate is the only way to heal in battle.
Despite the specific mechanics and unique gameplay, the Harlequin build includes standard characteristics necessary for almost any damage dealer:
- ATK — an indicator on which the damage of all abilities depends, as well as part of the received treatment.
- Crete. damage and crit chance. hits — an additional way to increase DPS.
- Elemental Mastery - a characteristic that affects damage from reactions.
- Energy recovery — required to activate the rollback ultimate. Since the explosion of the element is not very expensive, it is optimal to look for the parameter in the sub-stats.
Next, we will tell you how to collect Harlequin in Genshin Impact. We will provide the optimal stat values, and also consider the best weapons and artifacts.
Recommended characteristic values
The table shows the priority characteristics in artifacts:
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits ATK Elemental Mastery/Energy Regeneration | |
Attack Power (Permanent) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits ATK Elemental Mastery/Energy Regeneration | |

Attack Power/Pyro Damage Bonus | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Attack Power/Elemental Mastery Energy recovery | |
Crete. damage/crit chance hits | ATK Crete. damage/crit chance hits Energy recovery Elemental Mastery |
Optimal values of characteristics that are desirable to have on a character:
- ATK: from 1 units. To get the maximum bonus from a passive skill "Only strength will protect" 3 units required.
- Crete. chance: from 60%
- Crete. damage: from 120%.
- Energy recovery: 120-140% in squads via Overload/mono-Pyro/Burning and 140-160% in teams via Steam/Melt.
- Elemental Mastery: about 150-250 units. when playing through reaction.
Best weapon
When choosing weapons for Harlequin, you should give preference to spears, which increase attack power, critical chance hits/crit. damage и damage dealt. Undoubtedly, the best option would be the Scarlet Moon Signa, as it is directly related to the Life Debt mechanic.
Name | Passive | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 48-674 Crit chance. hits 4,8-22,1% | Hitting an enemy with a charged strike grants Life Debt equal to 25% of max. health. The effect triggers once every 1 seconds. While the owner has Life Debt, damage dealt increases by 12-28%. If the Life Debt value is equal to or greater than 30% of the max. HP, damage additionally increases by 24-56%. | Harlequin's signature weapon suits her perfectly and provides useful buffs in the form of crit. chance and increase in overall damage. In addition, it grants Life Debt when hit by a charged attack, which will extend the duration of Pyro Infusion and increase the damage of normal attacks while in Red Death Mask state. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base Damage 48-674 Crit chance. hits 4,8-22,1% | When dealing damage, increases attack power by 3,2-6% for 6 seconds. The effect stacks up to 7 times and occurs once every 1 seconds. If you get 0,3 stacks, the damage dealt increases by 12-24%. | Like Signa, it offers a chance to crit. hits and damage dealt, as well as attack power, which makes the Pyro Cup more in demand. To receive an attack bonus, you must hit enemies with any blows or skills. The Harbinger is constantly on the battlefield, so it activates the passive effect without any problems. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 46-608 Crete. damage 14,4%-66,2% | Increases health by 20-40%. In addition, provides an attack bonus equal to 0,8-1,6% from max. Spear owner's HP. When a character's health drops below 50%, their attack power increases by an additional 1-1,8% from max. HP. | Despite the fact that Harlequin is not collected through HP, the weapon is universal for many damage dealers due to the high increase in crit. damage and attack power depending on maximum health. Fully revealed when the character's HP drops to half, but even without this it provides a lot of benefits. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44-542 Critical Hit Chance 9.6%-44.1% | Increases attack power by 52-104% from the mastery of the elements. Also, hitting an enemy target with an elemental skill activates the Dream of the Scarlet Sands effect and provides additional 28-56% attack bonus, which similarly depends on elemental mastery. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | While the Homa Staff scales with health, this weapon scales with elemental mastery. However, Harlequin does not always need a high MC to unlock the spear's maximum potential. However, in units due to Steam/Melt or lack of crit. chance, it may prove even better than the Homa Staff. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 49-741 ATK 3,6%-16,5% | Gives 12%-24% bonus damage with all elements. Activating a skill will apply Enhancement for 20 seconds, increasing attack power by 3,2%-6,4% per second. The effect stacks up to 6 times. When the weapon's bearer is away from the battlefield, the attack bonus from Enhancement is doubled. | Provides a huge increase in attack power after using El. skill, which is very beneficial due to the presence of its own bonuses to damage, in particular, the passive “Only ashes will satisfy.” The disadvantage is the lack of crit buffs. chance or crit. damage, which complicates the balance of stats. |
. Basic Attack 48-674 Energy recovery 8%-36,8% | Increases crit. chance for 8%-16% and the speed of a normal attack on 12%. Hitting with a normal or charged attack has a 50% chance to spawn an intangible blade that deals 40%-100% damage in a small area. Fires once every 1 seconds. | Covers the need for energy restoration without the need to look for a characteristic in sub-stats. Always increases crit chance. hits and the speed of a normal attack, which the Harbinger actively uses in battle and thereby activates the second part of the effect. |
. Basic Attack 46-608 ATK 10,8%-49,6% | Increases shield strength by 20%-40%. On hit for 8 sec. increases attack power by 4%-8%. The effect can stack up to 5 times and occur once every 1 sec. While protected by a shield, the attack power bonus increases by 100%. | A good legendary weapon, for the full implementation of which you need a shield warrior. Significantly increases attack power due to the main characteristic and a passive bonus that is triggered when damaging enemies. In order to get the maximum buff, Harlequin must be under a shield. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 41-454 Critical Hit Chance 8%-36,8% | If there are 2 or more opponents nearby, then attack power and defense increase by 16-32%; if there are less than 2 opponents nearby, attack power increases by 24-48%. | An excellent epic spear from the battle pass with nice enhancements in the form of a critical chance. hits and attack power. The effect is activated consistently throughout the battle, since the key requirement is the presence of enemies (more or at least 2). In both cases, an increase in attack is given, so there is no need to adapt to specific conditions. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 42-510 Critical Hit Chance 6,0-27,6% | If a team has at least 3 heroes of different elements, elemental mastery increases by 120-240 units. | Another spear from the battle pass. Unlike Mortal Kombat, it has a more specific condition that requires at least 3 characters of different elements to increase elemental mastery. Weapons involve active interaction between elements and can be more profitable if played, for example, through Steam. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 42-510 Critical Damage 12-55,1% | Defeating enemies increases attack power by 12-24%. The bonus lasts 30 seconds. and can be folded up to 3 times. The duration of the effects is independent of each other. | Regardless of the number of stacks available, this is a good spear that gives attack power after defeating enemies and a lot of crit. damage Harlequin spends a lot of time in the arena, which means he can get a boost. But it is worth considering that the passive does not work in battles with bosses (only if they do not summon other monsters). |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 41-454 Elemental Mastery 48-221 | Raises by 20-36% damage against enemies under Gidro or Pyro statuses. | The optimal choice if the Harbinger plays through Par with Hydro sub-dds capable of damaging outside the battlefield (for example, Xingqiu or Ye Lan). The weapon provides elemental mastery and increases all damage if enemies are affected by Hydro or Pyro. However, attack power and critical indicators will have to be looked for in artifacts. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 39–401 Critical Hit Chance 5,1% –23,4% | Increases normal attack damage by 24% –48%. | One of the best F2P options that can be found in Li Yue's rich, precious and luxurious chests. Although it is 3-star, it provides a good boost to critical chance and consistently increases normal attack damage - Harlequin's main source of damage. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44–565 Elemental Mastery 24–110 | Dendro reactions create a revival sheet next to the character that lasts for 10 seconds. The attack power of the hero who picked it up increases by 16-32% for 12 sec. The revival sheet appears once every 1 seconds. The effect works even if the owner of the weapon is not on the battlefield. | Free crafted Sumeru spear. Suitable only for a squad through Dendro reactions, since otherwise the passive effect does not work. For Harlequin, an increase in attack power buff, which can be obtained thanks to the revival sheet that appears after calling Burning or Bloom, will be useful. |
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Basic Attack 42-510 ATK 9%-41,3% | After an elemental reaction occurs, attack power increases by 12%-24%, and elemental mastery is at 48-96 units. The boost lasts 10 seconds. | The weapon could only be obtained in patch 3.1. A free spear that gives a lot of attack power. To receive an additional bonus to attack and elemental mastery, it is necessary every 10 sec. cause reactions. For this reason, it is not recommended for use in a mono-Pyro build. |
Best Artifacts
Harlequin artifacts should increase attack power, elemental damage or give bonuses for normal hits, which are actively used in rotation. You can also consider sets that enhance reactions.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 parts: When Life Debt increases or decreases, damage dealt increases by 18% for 6 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | The best set of artifacts for Harlequin. Increases attack power, which scales all skills, and damage done with any changes to Life Debt. Since the heroine independently applies and removes the debuff during the battle, she easily activates the passive, receiving all the stacks. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 parts: Increases normal attack damage by 35% when using a one-handed, two-handed or polearm weapon. | The second best set, which increases the attack power and damage of a normal attack, provided that the character owns a melee weapon. Harlequin is a spearman, so the effect will work by default and does not require any conditions to be met. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Gives 15% bonus Anemo damage. 4 parts: Hitting with a charged strike increases attack speed by 10% and increases the damage of all attack types by 40% for 15 seconds. | Even though Harbinger doesn't need the Anemo damage bonus, she does benefit from the full set passive. For the increase in attack speed and damage to work, you must hit the enemy with a charged blow. This goes well with the heroine's rotation, as she gives herself Life Debt with a charged attack. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases Pyro damage by 15%. 4 parts: Increases the damage of Overload, Burn and Bloom reactions by 40%, and the damage of Steam and Melt reactions by 15%. Activating the skill increases the effect of 2 pieces by 50% for 10 sec. Can be folded up to 3 times. | An excellent option if the emphasis is on damage from reactions. The set is revealed especially well in squads through Steam or Melt, since they themselves deal quite a lot of damage and are able to crit. The kit is also suitable for 2nd order reactions, for example Overload in combination with Chevreuse. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 parts: Normal attacks have a 36% chance to summon Valley Ritual, increasing their damage by 70%. Hitting with your next normal attack removes the effect after 0,5 seconds. Assuming the buff did not trigger, the chance to summon Valley Ritual increases by 20% with the next hit. The chance of activating a bonus occurs once every 1 seconds. | Harlequin will usually make a series of normal attacks, giving him a higher chance of activating Valley Ritual and receiving a high damage bonus. The only problem with the set is unstable operation, which can be caused by a poor connection or high ping (over 100). |
2 parts: Increases normal and charged attack damage by 15%. 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18%. 2 parts: Increases Pyro damage by 15%. | Until you can collect the required full set with suitable characteristics, you can use any combination of 2x2 artifacts for attack power, normal/charged attack damage, and Pyro damage. | |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases critical chance. hits by 12%. 2 parts: Increases critical chance. hits by 24% if health is below 70%. | A great set for the start of your trip. Critical chance buffs. hits, which is beneficial for Harlequin, whose critical damage is pumped up when elevated. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases normal and charged attack damage by 15%. 4 parts: Increases the damage of normal and charged attacks by 25% after using the skill for 8 seconds. | Another option for beginners. Increases the damage of a normal and charged strike and an additional 4 parts after using an elemental skill. The downside is the duration of the 2nd bonus — only 8 sec. However, in the initial stages of the game this does not play a significant role. |
We will separately analyze sets that offer useful buffs, but have difficult or situational conditions, which does not always allow them to be implemented 100%.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases normal and charged attack damage by 15%. 4 parts: Critical Chance. hit increases by 12% for 5 sec if health increases or decreases. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | If the boost for a normal and charged attack is always valid, then the effect of the full set in the case of Harlequin will be inconsistent. Firstly, for passives to work you definitely need Furina. Secondly, even with it it will not always be possible to implement the effect and receive stacks due to the fact that the character cannot be healed. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases shield strength by 35%. 4 parts: When the character is under a shield, the damage of normal and charged attacks is increased by 40%. | The Harbinger is quite vulnerable in battle, as it cannot be healed from external sources. If she plays in a team with a shield warrior, this set will suit her well - the protection will become stronger and, in addition, the damage of normal and charged attacks will increase while Harlequin is under armor. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases Pyro resistance by 40%. 4 parts: Increases damage against targets affected by Pyro by 35%. | It works exclusively in builds through mono-Pyro or Burning, since only in this case will it be possible to maintain a constant Pyro status and thereby receive 35% bonus damage. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 parts: After 3 sec. after leaving the battlefield, damage increases by 50%. If at least 6 sec. There are no enemies with the Burning status nearby, the hero loses 10% increased damage per second. up to 0%. If there are nearby enemies with the Burning status, damage increases by 10% per second up to 50%. The effect occurs even if the character is not on the battlefield. | The situation is approximately the same as with the Lavawalker. The set is considered only in a certain composition, in this case the emphasis is on Burning. That is, the squad must have a character capable of supporting a reaction, for example, Nahida. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4 parts: For 8 sec. after calling an elemental reaction, depending on the elements of the allied heroes in the squad, the equipped character receives the following buffs:
| The set will not give an affix to the punches themselves, but will increase the stats of elemental mastery and attack power depending on the allies in the group. It makes sense to use only in teams from the reaction of Steam, if a full set with strong crits has already been collected and there is no other hero to whom it can be transferred. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18% 4 parts: When a skill is activated by a hero who has 15 or more energy units, he loses 15 units. energy, but damage from normal, charged and falling attacks increases by 50% for 10 seconds. | Gives nice bonuses, but does not fit well into the Harlequin gameplay. The buff for all types of attacks is given only for 10 seconds, while the heroine does not in all cases begin to attack immediately after the E-shka. In addition, the skill begins to remove energy, which can be critical for survival. |
Units for Harlequin
In the team, Arlecchino occupies the position of main DD, around whom the team is built. Considering that she cannot restore HP with the help of supports, she does not value healers as much and places more emphasis on evasion, shielders or elemental explosion.
Healers can be part of the Harbinger's squad, but it is advisable that they at least apply useful buffs. Being a representative of the fire element, he performs well in many builds, for example, through Steam, Overload or mono-Pyro.
Best characters
Next, we look at the heroes who can be placed in Harlequin’s squad.
Sub-dd
Secondary damage dealers that deal damage outside the battlefield and cause reactions.
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
Excellent Hydro applicator for playing through Steam. In addition to imposing status, it increases the damage of the active character during an elemental explosion. | |||
Like Ye Lan, he casts Hydro. It will be more in demand if problems with survivability arise, due to a decrease in damage received and an increase in resistance to interruption. | |||
A strong buffer that has ambiguous synergy with Harlequin, since Life Debt causes problems with recruiting Fanfare. In addition, Furina gradually removes health with the skill, which is not very good for the Harbinger, who is already vulnerable due to her immunity to treatment. This is not to say that they are completely incompatible. However, such a unit is much more difficult to implement than most other builds. | |||
Secondary damage dealer for the Melt reaction. Due to the fact that outside the battlefield it damages only with the ultimate, it needs a high rate of energy recovery (180-200%). It also won’t be superfluous Battle Bow of Favonia. | |||
An elemental explosion creates ice flakes that revolve around the active character and cause Cryo damage. This helps inflict Melt while Harlequin hits with normal infusion attacks. | |||
Has a quick recharge of abilities. The ultimate damages outside the battlefield and increases the chance of crit. hits. Passive increases movement speed at night. | |||
The skill summons a Fire Prison, inside of which Pyro damage is dealt, interruption resistance increases, and part of the damage received is transferred to Dehye, which adds survivability. | |||
High damage from the pocket due to elemental skill and elemental burst. Can increase attack power if an ally picks up a Goba Pepper. | |||
A secondary Pyro character that attacks from the pocket. Not only does he deal damage outside of the battlefield, but he also buffs Harlequin. | |||
A good ally in a squad through Overload. Damages from the pocket using skill totems, and with the ultimate deals instant explosive damage. | |||
If an ally, while under the influence of Beidou's ult hits with a normal and charged attack, it launches a chain lightning that deals Electro damage. Applies a shield to C1 with an elemental explosion. | |||
A comfortable sub-deader with permanent Electro status, fast skill cooldown and good damage of his own. Preferably C6. | |||
An ideal partner for any type of team thanks to a convenient tie that controls crowds of enemies, calls Dispel and increases elemental damage. | |||
Pulls opponents not only with a skill, but also with an ultimate. Instead of elemental damage, it increases elemental mastery, which is more relevant for playing through reactions. | |||
If you want to try Harlequin via Burn, Nahida will be a great ally for her due to her stable Dendro status. | |||
Helps trigger a Crystal reaction using an elemental skill. Passive skill increases elemental mastery. |
Sapports
Support characters providing protection and various buffs.
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
Acts as an attack power buffer and helps restore energy with Favonius's skill or sword. Bennett's only inconvenience is the limited area of his ult. | |||
The best support for playing through Overload. Chevreuse reduces the Electro and Pyro resistance of enemies if in a team there is at least one hero of each of these elements. In addition, it increases attack power by long pressing E. | |||
Creates a strong shield. If C6 is open, increases the damage of all types of attacks by 15%, including normal ones. Can deal Pyro area damage, but requires a lot of energy recovery to do so. | |||
The ultimate encases the enemy in a bubble, after which it applies the Omen effect, which increases the damage the target receives. This skill distracts enemies. | |||
Buffs the damage of the active character's normal elemental attacks using an elemental explosion. At C6, it deals additional Hydro damage outside the battlefield. At the same time, Arlequino will not receive hydro infusion. | |||
Sitlali will give Harlequin everything he needs: resistance cut, strong defense and, depending on the team, additional damage. | |||
Provides allies with a shield, damages outside the battlefield with an explosion of elements and elemental skills. At C4, increases the damage of normal and charged attacks. | |||
This skill puts up a shield, which increases movement speed and reduces stamina consumption. At C6, in the area of effect of the ult, elemental mastery is buffed if HP is more than 50%. | |||
Geo Archon offers the strongest and most stable armor in the game. At the same time, while the shield hangs on an ally, the el. and physical resistance from nearby enemies. | |||
Buffs the damage of normal attacks with an elemental burst, which is a strong buff for Harlequin. At C6, increases attack speed. | |||
A free shield fighter that provides good survivability at any stage of the game. | |||
Although Harlequin does not require a healer, Shilonen mainly acts as a buffer due to his own abilities and his set. Due to the format of Harlequin's stance, which does not fall off when switching to other characters, it is easy to activate the effect of the elemental reaction. | |||
Used as a healer if Arlecchino plays in a team with Furina. Useful for mass healing, which makes it easy to gain Fanfare at the expense of other allies. Ultimate scatters across the area. | |||
An alternative healer for a squad with Furina. In addition to healing and Dispelling, it allows you to hit while falling (Pyro infusion of the Harbinger also applies to this type of attack). | |||
Anemo is a support character that provides a shield and a tie, and can also deal some damage. Harlequin attacks primarily with normal attacks, so if Lan Yan has constellations, she can renew her shield. |
Top Teams
Using the characters discussed above, you can create the following squads for Harlequin:
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
A strong build with constant Hydro status for Steam reaction and Dispersion from the Anemo character. Ye Lan will give more damage, and Xingqiu will give survivability. Kazuha has a stable tightening and increases electrical damage, while Sucrose increases elemental mastery, and Lan Yan gives shields and gathers enemies into a group. Bennett is necessary for Pyro Resonance, creating additional energy particles and increasing attack power, but you can take Sitlali instead. | ||||
Team option with Furina. Since it does not impose much status, it is advisable to put another Hydro element character. Xian Yun or Jinn - Anemo heroes with Dispel and mass healing. Despite the fact that it becomes more difficult to stack Fanfare with Harlequin, the build is capable of demonstrating high damage figures. The only thing is that you will have to pay special attention to the Harbinger’s HP and, when ready, use her ultimate, since Furina will constantly remove health. | ||||
Command via Overload. The key character of this pack is Chevreuse, which reduces the Pyro and Electro resistance of enemies and buffs the attack power with a long press of the skill. Fischl acts as a sub-dam and electro source for triggering the Chevreuse passive. Toma protects Harlequin from incoming damage. | ||||
Another option is through Overload. The squad is more balanced due to two Electro damage dealers, but survivability is reduced. You can make the squad stronger with the help of C1 Beidou, which creates a shield using explosion verses. Considering that both Yae Miko and Beidou have expensive ultimates, the group should have a Favonius weapon, such as Chevreuse and/or Fischl. | ||||
Command via Steam with support that casts a shield. It is optimal to put Xingqiu or Ye Lan in the Hydro sub-dd slot. Bennett is used for a buff. Zhongli creates a very strong shield that will allow the Harbinger to fight safely on the battlefield. If you don’t have Zhongli, you can use Lila or Diona - they will also allow you to trigger the Melting reaction in parallel with Steam. | ||||
Double Hydro Squad. Ye Lan in combination with Xingqiu will provide a permanent status on enemies. Mona will increase the damage received by enemies with Omen and distract them with an elemental skill / Kandakiya will increase the damage of normal elemental attacks (at C6, it will also cause damage outside the battlefield). For greater survivability, Zhongli or Sitlali is placed. Bennett - to increase attack power. | ||||
Mono-Pyro team. Xiangling or Dehya deal fire damage from the pocket. Dehya has weaker damage, but is more beneficial if Harlequin is losing HP. Kazuha inflates Piro and increases elemental damage with her passive skill. Toma applies a shield and can deal additional damage with an elemental explosion if he has enough energy recovery (200-220%). | ||||
Team with Pyro Resonance. Pyro sub-dd deals fire damage from the pocket. Dehya or Mavuika deals less damage, but is more profitable if Harlequin is low on HP or for an additional buff. Kazuha inflates Pyro and increases elemental damage with a passive skill. Sitlali cuts Pyro resistance of enemies and hits enemies hard. | ||||
A team with Geo Resonance, which increases interrupt resistance and attack damage under the shield. Ye Lan/Xingqiu - for Hydro status and additional damage. Albedo's el. skill helps create a Crystal reaction, and the ult increases elemental mastery. Zhongli imposes a strong shield, reduces enemy resistance, but you can also use Shilonen. Instead of Albedo, Yun Jin is suitable, which strengthens normal attacks. | ||||
Group through Burning with Nahida, who is able to maintain Dendro status on an ongoing basis. Sucrose dispels, keeps enemies under control and increases elemental mastery. Bennett buffs attack power, but can be replaced with Toma so that Harlequin receives as little incoming damage as possible. | ||||
Squad through the Melt. Ganyu or Kaya use Elemental Burst to inflict Cryo on enemy targets. Rosaria deals additional damage and increases crit chance. hits with an ultimate, which works similarly from the pocket. Bennett is used for Pyro Resonance, generating energy particles and increasing attack power. | ||||
Free starter build through Meltdown. On cooldown, Kaeya uses an elemental explosion so that Arlequin can cause a reaction with normal attacks with Pyro Infusion. Anemo Traveler scatters and pulls enemies together. Noelle provides allies with a shield generated by the skill. | ||||
Alternative F2P team via Steam (if Barbara is replaced with Noelle, you will get a mono-Pyro build). Xiangling deals damage with skill and elemental explosion. Lynette dispels and increases attack power with her passive skill. Although Barbara cannot heal Harlequin, she does inflict Hydro status on enemies with her skill. With the last constellation, it resurrects once every 15 minutes. |
Сonclusion
Harlequin is a legendary Pyro spearwoman whose gameplay is based on the Life Debt mechanic. The debuff absorbs incoming healing and prevents healing until it disappears completely. On the one hand, this style of play can be difficult, especially considering that the heroine can only be healed by an explosion of the elements. On the other hand, it increases the damage significantly and gives an almost constant Pyro infusion.
Harbinger of Fatui offers a special approach to combat where understanding the character, following the rotation and the skills of the player are really important. At the same time, Harlequin encourages this approach, producing huge damage numbers when used correctly. In the squad he occupies the position of the main damage dealer and enters into most reactions due to his mastery of the fire element.
If we talk about the assembly, as befits many main DDs, it cannot be called simple: high crits are required. stats, attack power and sometimes elemental mastery. While Elemental Burst is inexpensive, Energy Recovery should also be at optimal levels to ensure your Ultimate is always ready. Overall, Harbinger is a strong hero at any stage of the game and can show good results without additional investments. But it should be taken into account that Signa and C1 make the gameplay significantly more comfortable and increase damage many times over.

Which is better for Harlequin: signa or c1?
Signature weapons are more beneficial for Harlequin than C1 in most situations. The Scarlet Moon Outline is the only spear that fully matches the character's mechanics: it grants additional Life Debt, increases damage dealt, and also has a unique scythe effect.
The first constellation can only be more profitable if your account already has Jade Kite, Homa Staff or Staff of the Scarlet Sands (for reactions), especially with awakenings. Although they are inferior to Signa, they can be effectively used in combination with C1, which increases the damage of basic attacks with infusion and resistance to interruption, thanks to which the damage will only increase.
