Ye Lan's abilities
Ye Lan is a secondary damage dealer who deals Hydro damage out of the field through his ultimate, with his help he passively increases the damage of his allies and has fast movement with the help of his E-Shki. She is indispensable in squads where a Hydro sub-DD with a stable status is needed, for example, when playing through Freeze or Steam. Thanks to HP damage scaling, she gets a lot of benefit from Hydro Resonance.
Basic skills (active skills)
Abilities that Ye Lan uses in combat:
- Stealth Arrow (Normal, Charged Attack, Breakthrough)
Fires up to four bow shots.
Charged attack deals increased Hydro damage.
If Ye Lan is not on the battlefield for 5 seconds, automatically enters the state breakthrough, which reduces the aiming time for the next shot by 80%. Attacks after charge Breakthrough Arrow, which deals Hydro damage in an area based on Ye Lan's maximum health.
The breakthrough indicator is Ye Lan's bracelet on his right hand - when it starts to glow, it means that a special charged shot can be used.
- Twisted Thread of Life (Elemental Skill)
Duration: 3 sec.
Cooldown time: 10 sec.
Number of charges: 1 on C0, 2 on C1.
Moves quickly and entangles the Thread of all enemies on the way. At the end, the Thread explodes and deals damage based on max. HP Ye Lan.
Moves forward a short distance when pressed quickly.
With a long press, it advances with lightning speed and can set the direction of running. Re-casting the ability cancels the effect. When exploding, each enemy marked with Lifethread grants a 34% chance to gain breakthrough.
- Exquisite Dice (Elemental Burst)
Duration: 15 sec.
Cooldown time: 18 sec.
Cost: 70 units. energy.
Surrounding enemies take Hydro damage, and a Exquisite Throw, which follows the current character and attacks together with him, causing Hydro damage, which depends on the max. HP Ye Lan:
- Occurs once per second when the active character attacks.
- Activated after the Thread of Life explodes and hits enemies.
The order of leveling talents
Priority: Q (elemental burst) > E (elemental skill) > Normal attacks.
- First of all, pump up your ultimate, as it is the main source of damage and buff. It is advisable to pour a crown into it, bringing it to level 10.
- Then increase your elemental skill levels. If you have C1, you can pump it up to 9 or also crown it, but at C0 it is more profitable to leave it at lvl 8.
- Normal attacks can be left alone if you are not using a targeted shot. If you still use this when playing as Ye Lan, it’s worth raising it to level 8.
Passive skills
Below you will read a description of all Ye Lan's passive skills.
Interception initiative | If there are 1/2/3/4 element types in the squad, max. Ye Lan's HP increases by 6%/12%/18%/30% respectively. |
Easy adaptability | While Exquisite Throw is active, the damage dealt by your active character is increased by 1% and continues to increase by 3.5% every second. The maximum increase in damage dealt is 50%. While the effect is in effect, activating Fine Dice again will interrupt it. |
Necessary calculation | Increases the reward of expeditions to Li Yue by 25% for 20 hours. |
Constellations
In the table below you can find out about all the Ye Lan constellations:
1. Playing with scammers | Increases the number of charges of the Intertwined Thread of Life skill by 1. |
2. We accept everyone. | When Exquisite Throw performs a combined attack, it fires an additional Water Arrow that deals 14% Max Damage to Hydro. HP Ye Lan. The effect can occur once every 1,8 sec. |
3. Beware of scammers. | Increases the level of the Exquisite Dice skill by 3. Max. level: 15 |
4. Bait and switch. | After the explosion of the Thread of Life for 25 sec. increases max. HP of all squad members by 10% for each enemy marked by it. Maximum HP increase is 40%. |
5. Dealer agility. | Increases the level of the Intertwined Thread of Life skill by 3. Max. level: 15 |
6. Winner takes all. | After using the Exquisite Dice skill, Ye Lan will enter the Strategist state. In this state, all of Ye Lan's normal attacks become special Breakthrough Arrows. These arrows have similar stats to regular Breach Arrows; the damage they deal is considered charged attack damage and is 156% of the normal Breach Arrow damage. The Strategist state disappears after 20 seconds. or after 5 fired arrows. |
Advantages and disadvantages of Ye Lan
Ye Lan is a Hydro sub-DD that is effective for both strengthening the team and dealing damage. Despite all the benefits of the heroine, she has both her advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Deals very high damage, shows itself better than Xingqiu in most units. Doesn't take up much time on the field, groups opponents a little, and is quite versatile. | Small selection of epic weapons. The top 3 on Ye Lan is Favonius, but if he is not there, then there are only a couple of options left, with the exception of situational ones. The signature requires a lot of recovery or playing in a team with a Hydro ally, and does not solve absolutely all the heroine’s problems. |
She has HP scales, so it is beneficial for her to play with other heroes in Hydro Resonance. This brings significant benefits for some teams, for example, in double-hydro with Hu Tao. | Works better than Xingqiu, but is not a critical replacement. If there are both Xingqiu and Furina, Ye Lan can be skipped. In addition, it is important to consider that she does not have a passive healer like Xingqiu, which can cause team survivability to suffer if you are playing without a healer or shielder and want to make a replacement. |
Easy assembly. Requires only crits, HP and energy recovery. The best set, Emblems of Shattered Fate, can be crafted in alchemy. | |
Makes it easier to explore the world with its E-shki. | |
In addition to pocket damage, it provides the team with a buff that increases overall damage. Due to this, heroes with Ye Lan will show better results than with another Hydro sub-dd. |
Leveling Ye Lan
In this article, we will look at what resources are needed to upgrade Ye Lan to the maximum level and all her talents..
Elevation
To raise Ye Lan to level 90, the following resources are required:
- Varunada stones. Can be obtained with some chance by defeating Oceanid, ancient geovishap и Hydro hypostasisAs well as Azhdahi, childda и Dvalina. In case of shortage, they can be converted from other materials using Nitrogen Dust.
- Runic Fangs - world boss items fault Ruin Snake.
- star shells – curiosities of Li Yue.
- Chevrons Private, Sergeant and Officerfalling out from Skirmishers of Fatui.
Talents
When leveling talents, Ye Lan is also used chevrons. In addition to them you need:
- Gilded Scale - material with Azhdahi. Don't forget to use A solvent of dreams to recraft unnecessary items from bosses.
- Doctrines, Directions and Philosophy for Prosperity – farm on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays in the dungeon Taishan Mansion in Li Yue.
- At level 10, enhancement will require Crown of Insight.
Best builds for Ye Lan in Genshin Impact
Ye Lan is a secondary damage dealer who deals the bulk of his damage through an elemental burst and has HP scaling. To fully realize the heroine, she needs to collect a good balance of crit. chance/crit. damage, HP and health.
Recommended characteristic values
There is no need for attack power, since Ye Lan's scaling comes from her HP. Focus on restoring energy first to provide her ultimate on cooldown, then build HP and balance crits. There is no need for elemental mastery, even if you play with Pyro characters, since Ye Lan almost does not cover the reactions herself.
Features to focus on:
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits HP% Energy Recovery % | |
Attack Power (Permanent) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits HP% Energy Recovery % / Elemental Mastery | |
HP% Energy recovery % (when using the Emblem set) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % / HP % Elemental Mastery | |
Hydro Damage Bonus % | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits HP% Energy Recovery % | |
Crete. damage / crit chance hits | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits HP% Energy Recovery % / Elemental Mastery HP (flat) |
Optimal characteristic values:
- health: 25-000 and more.
- energy recovery: 160% if playing with Favonius Bow and Hydro ally. 200% if Ye Lan is the only Hydro on the team and with Favonius. 230-240% is needed when using Aqua Simulacrum's signature weapon and there are no other Hydros in the team.
- Crete. chance/crit. damage: A 1:2 ratio is required, for example 70%/140%. Keep in mind that Ye Lan's crit is already increasing. chance when elevated, and in artifacts and weapons, focus on crit. damage.
Best weapon
Weapons for Ye Lan should increase the energy recovery parameter, HP, or provide critical hits. Attack power or skill based weapons are not recommended, but can be used if there are no alternatives if they have good passives. Also, due to the health scaling, Ye Lan can be given 3⭐️ bows, their low base will not affect her damage.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44 ~ 542 Critical Damage 19,2% ~ 88,2% | Increases HP by 16%~32%. When there are enemies near the owner of the bow, their damage is increased by 20%~40%. The passive effect works even when the character is not on the battlefield. | Ye Lan's signature weapon: gives a lot of crit. damage and increases HP, and also provides a universal affix for damage in battle. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 46 ~ 608 Energy recovery 12% ~ 55,1% | Increases Elemental Mastery by 60-120 points. If the owner of the bow hits an enemy with an ult or elemental skill, gain one Talisman of Remembrance (occurs once every 0,2 seconds, even if the character is not on the battlefield). After collecting 4 talismans, they disappear and endow nearby team members for 12 seconds. effect Millennium Symphony: Farewell Hymn. Allies' Elemental Mastery is increased by 100-200 units, Attack Power - by 20-40%. Once activated, Talismans will not spawn for another 20 seconds. The effect does not stack with similar ones. | Ye Lan easily activates the bow's passive due to frequent use of skills, which buffs the squad. In addition, the problem with energy recovery for the ultimate is being resolved. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 41 ~ 454 Energy recovery 13,3% ~ 61,3% | Critical attacks have a 60-100% chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 energy, occur every 12-6 seconds. | Top 2 option after Ye Lan's signature. Provides a huge amount of energy recovery and additional balls for both Ye Lan herself and her allies. A mandatory option if she is the only Hydro on the team, other squad members have expensive ultimates or have problems with the energy recovery stat. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44 ~ 565 Energy recovery 6,7% ~ 30,6% | The weapon has 3 states: Sunset, Mist and Dawn, each of which increases damage dealt by 6%/10%/14% respectively. After hitting an enemy, the state changes to the following, no more than once every 7 seconds. The state change effect is triggered even when the character is not on the battlefield. | Gives an affix to damage, which gradually increases with each hit of the ult, and energy restoration. Could only be obtained in update 2.7. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 42 ~ 510 Elemental Mastery 36 ~ 165 | Elemental Skills and Elemental Explosion damage increased by 24-48%. | The passive will increase the damage of the elemental skill and elemental explosion, but Ye Lan practically does not cover the reaction, which is why the sub-stat of elemental mastery is useless for her. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44 ~ 565 Energy recovery 6,7% ~ 30,6% | Hitting with an elemental skill has a 40-80% chance to instantly restore its cooldown. Occurs no more than 1 time in 30-16 seconds. | Increases energy recovery and makes it possible to activate the E-shka a second time. If C1 is present, it is useless. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44 ~ 565 ATK 6% ~ 27,6% | The elemental explosion damage of the character equipped with this weapon is increased by 0,12% for each unit of the amount of max. energy of each member of the squad. Damage bonus cannot exceed 40%. | At T4-T5, the weapon will give a large increase in damage provided there are allies with expensive ults, but the sub-stat includes attack power that is not needed for Ye Lan. It makes sense to take it at high awakening and if the artifacts have accumulated a lot of energy and HP restoration. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base damage: 38 ~ 354 HP: 10,2% ~ 46,9% | Defeating an enemy restores 8-16% HP. | Alternative free option. Recommended when playing with other Hydro characters, a large amount of energy restoration in the stats of artifacts and with a low health indicator. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 38 ~ 354 Critical Damage Chance 6,8% ~ 31,2% | If a Light Attack or Aimed Shot hits the target within 0.3 seconds of hitting, their damage is increased by 36-60%. Otherwise, it decreases by 10%. | Can be taken at the beginning of the game. Since Ye Lan uses targeted shots, although rarely, this is a valid option for her. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 39 ~ 401 Critical Damage 10,2% ~ 46,9% | Increases damage dealt to weak points of enemies by 24-48%. | Likewise, it is recommended only as a transitional option. You can take it into battle against opponents with weak points, for example, the Guardian or the Dragon of Ruin. |
Best Artifacts
Artifacts for Ye Lan should be focused on increasing elemental explosion damage or HP. You can use 2+2 options with Hydro damage, but only for the first time, and not full sets, since all Hydro sets in the game increase attack power, not health.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases energy recovery rate by 20%. 4 parts: Increases elemental explosion damage by an amount equal to 25% of the amount of energy regeneration. The effect can be increased to a maximum of 75%. | The best set of artifacts for Ye Lan, which is worth striving to collect. Head and shoulders above other alternatives in the full set format, it gives the heroine all the most necessary stats. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases elemental explosion damage by 20%. 4 parts: Activating an elemental explosion increases the attack power of all party members by 20% for 12 seconds. The effect does not stack. | A valid option when playing with allies whose damage scales depend on attack power, if the team does not have a support with such a kit. But Ye Lan’s personal damage will be significantly reduced. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases HP by 20% 4 parts: UIncreases elemental skill and elemental explosion damage by 10%. When the carrier takes damage, even outside the battlefield, the bonus is increased by 80%. The effect stacks up to 5 times and lasts 5 seconds. Each stack has its own countdown time. | The full set does not fully realize itself, since Ye Lan does not take damage in the pocket. However, an increase in HP and an increase in elemental explosion damage will increase the heroine’s personal damage. You can take it if you don’t have the Emblem set yet, and these artifacts are already pumped up to +20 and have good stats. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases energy recovery rate by 20%. 4 parts: Using an elemental burst restores 2 units. energy to the rest of the squad (but not the selected character) every 2 sec. for 6 sec. The effect cannot stack. | Option for the first time for a beginner. |
Units for Ye Lan
Ye Lan can play as a sub-DD in almost any squad where the main DD constantly uses normal attacks. Due to the fact that the scales of her abilities come from HP, she performs well with Hydro Resonance and characters who also need health for damage or healing.
Its mechanics do not involve closing reactions, so it is better to take Ye Lan into squads where another character completes elemental reactions. The heroine will easily provide a stable Hydro status for, for example, the main damage dealer Piro of the elements and the reaction of Steam, but she herself will be able to hit the enemy with the E-shock at most with Piro. Her damage affix, which accumulates during the duration of the ultimate, is universal and suitable for any heroes.
Best characters
The best heroes for Ye Lan units:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
While Mavuiki's most damage comes from charged attacks, Pyro Archon can still use normal attacks in his rotation to trigger Ye Lan's ultimate. | |||
A good ally to create the Evaporate effect. In addition, Ye Lan's team with Hu Tao allows Xingqiu to be released for the second squad. | |||
Due to Life Debt, he applies Pyro Infusion to his attacks. He deals most of his damage through regular attacks, so he combines well with Ye Lan's ult mechanics. | |||
Likewise for Evaporation. | |||
Pyro infusion of Dilyuk during E-shki is not as consistent as with Hu Tao and Eimiya, but may react. | |||
Grants a shield and lowers the elemental resistance of enemies. | |||
To disperse and gather opponents into a heap. | |||
They flood each other with energy thanks to the same element, and Tartaglia's elemental skill combines well with Ye Lan's ult. | |||
Hydro resonance and treatment. Can combine her own attacks during an elemental explosion with Ye Lan's ultimate. Acts as a battery. | |||
Damages and heals from max. HP, so she benefits from Hydro Resonance. Is a pocket damage control/healer. Buffs from an explosion of elements. | |||
Elemental Explosion and Elemental Skill allow you to create the Charged effect. Helps to gain energy for Ye Lan's expensive ultimate ability. | |||
Also for the Charged reaction. Can take a core position. | |||
A good Electro Turret to combine with Ye Lan's abilities. | |||
Sitlali's resistance cut opens the way for her to join the Steam reaction teams or mono-Hydro squads. | |||
Elemental Explosions are great for keeping Freeze on enemies. | |||
In alliance with Ye Lan, she constantly freezes opponents due to a small cd of skills. | |||
Maybe not the strongest shield, but it makes up for it with healing, an additional increase in Elemental Mastery for the team (on c6), and Freeze maintenance. | |||
Provides stable Cryo status on enemies. Heals from the ultimate depending on the attack power. | |||
For Steam or Pyro resonance as part of another fiery character. Good abilities that can be effectively combined with Ye Lan. | |||
Like Ye Lan, Pyro GG can attack from the pocket, so he combines well with her both as a sub-DD and as the main damage dealer from normal attacks. | |||
It will inflate the element, pull the opponents together, flood the Mastery of the elements. | |||
Pairs well with Ye Lan as it refreshes the shield from normal attacks. Groups enemies and causes Dispersion. | |||
Excellent Dendro sub-dd to create a Budding reaction. | |||
Performs similar functions to Nahida, but plays from her ult. Can be considered a cheaper Dendro replacement. | |||
Dendro support, at the same time closing the healer slot. | |||
The heroine depends on elemental reactions, so she goes well with sub-DD of other elements. | |||
Reduces resistances due to built-in debuffs and set, provides healing. |
Top Teams
Due to its versatility, Ye Lan's teams can be very different. The only condition is that the main DD in his rotation must use regular attacks, and not charged ones or attacks through an E-shka or ult. Otherwise, Ye Lan's elemental burst simply wouldn't work.
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
Evaporation and Pyro Resonance for a 25% attack power buff, and Bennett for extra buffs and healing. Zhongli provides a solid shield and lowers enemy elemental resistance. Shilonen can also be used instead, especially if you're playing with Mavuika. | ||||
Since Mawuika, Yanfei, and Klee all inflict too much Pyro status, it is much harder to vape with them, and one Ye Lan may not be enough. Therefore, it is advisable to get Hydro with Xingqiu, which will allow you to activate Steam more often. | ||||
Hu Tao/Harlequin and Ye Lan for vape. Sucrose inflates the element, buffs Elemental Mastery, and pulls enemies. Since there is no heal, having Zhongli in the squad will allow the team to survive thanks to his shield, and he will also reduce the elemental resistance of enemies (try to place the shield far away from enemies so that the pillar does not knock down the status for Steam). Thanks to the passive ability (4 different elements), Ye Lan in this pack increases her HP by 30%. | ||||
Command for Evaporation, Melting and Freezing reactions. Rosaria and Dione give additional Cryo resonance and increase crit. chance against frozen enemies by 15%. In addition, Dione can pour Elemental Mastery on the 6th Constellation and provide a shield. | ||||
A team with Hydro Resonance and main DPS from the hand. Furina buffs the team's damage, so defensive functions will have to be performed by Charlotte or Sitlali. You can choose either of them: Charlotte will give Furina's best buff, and Sitlali will cut off resistances and give additional protection. | ||||
Thanks to two Hydro heroes, max. HP of characters by 25%. Fischl and Ye Lan help carry out the Vapor, Overload, and Charged reactions. | ||||
Hydro and Pyro resonances to increase the healing and attack bonus. Ye Lan enhances Tartaglia's elemental skill. Xiangling for the Evaporation effect. Bennett heals and gives an additional buff, but you can use Sitlali instead. | ||||
"National" revolver unit for dealing one-time damage in large quantities. But instead of the usual Xingqiu, Ye Lan also looks good. | ||||
Detachment of Archons to play through Vegetation. Nahida inflicts Dendro status and buffs elemental mastery, Ye Lan creates cores, and Raiden turns them into projectiles. Zhongli provides protection and lowers the elemental resistance of enemies. It can be replaced with a healer, such as Kokomi or Barbara. | ||||
Statue squad for constant Freeze + Cryo resonance and dispel with contraction from Kazuha. Sub-DD with mass application can be replaced with Diona if survivability is poor. | ||||
Expensive but effective assembly through permanent freezing. In addition, the problem with the energy recovery kit for Ye Lan is completely solved, since there is a "battery" in the form of Mona. However, for the maximum implementation of the assembly, it is better to put on Mona Codex Favonia - this will allow Ye Lan to receive additional from above. particles of energy and give an ult on a rollback. | ||||
Ye Lan will allow the main DD to have additional Hydro damage during attacks. Beidou/Clorinda as a main DPS deals damage and carries out reactions Charged. Fischl for Electro Resonance and supplying the squad with energy particles, also her OZ is almost constantly on the battlefield, which will provide Electro status on enemies. Bennett/Shilonen will increase the overall damage of the team and provide healing when needed. | ||||
Ye Lan and Al-Haytham create Dendro cores that explode with Fischl's help. Ye Lan additionally increases the damage of al-Haytham, and Yao Yao strengthens it and heals the squad. | ||||
Mono-Hydro squad led by Furina. Relies on reducing resistances to all types of damage from Zhongli or Sitlali's shield or Shilonen's debuffs. Kandakia provides Hydro infusion for the damage dealer, and Ye Lan helps deal damage from the pocket. | ||||
One of the varieties of the revolver team. Instead of Dione, you can put Bennet, depending on what is needed: crit. chance or attack power. | ||||
The build focuses on Ye Lan being able to use her ultimate whenever she enters the battlefield. In this case, Ye Lan doesn't need a lot of energy regeneration, but Xingqiu will have to use the Sacrificial Greatsword to make the unit deal maximum damage. | ||||
FTP-detachment from Vegetation reaction. Ye Lan and Dendro Traveler from Collei create Dendro cores, and thanks to Cookie, they explode. Cookie heals the squad at the same time. | ||||
The unit aims to create the Charged reaction, but with the added benefit of Kokomi's heal. If there is no sucrose emerald shadow, consider using Bennett or, for example, Geo-Support. |
How to play as Ye Lan
Ye Lan does most of his damage without being on the battlefield. She uses her ale. skill to group enemies a little and move quickly on the battlefield, and then activates the ultimate. Although she can fire precision shots every 5 seconds she is off the field, this is an optional part of her rotation. Failure to do so will not affect Ye Lan’s effectiveness, the main thing is to activate the element. skill and elemental explosion.
Rotation
Procedure: E (elemental skill) > Q (elemental explosion) > buffs and support abilities > main DD.
Since Ye Lan is a secondary damage dealer and almost never uses regular or charged shots, her rotation is fairly simple.
- Follow Ye Lan onto the battlefield before enabling support skills. This is important, since the buff of her ultimate is gained gradually, and it is important that by the time she plays as the main DD, the elemental explosion already has the maximum possible stacks. If desired, you can fire a charged shot at the enemy if Ye Lan has been in your pocket for more than 5 seconds.
- Activate the E-shka and then, immediately, an explosion of elements so that balls of energy fly into the empty ult bar. If you have C1, then after pressing the elemental explosion, use the second charge of the skill.
- Switch to supports and activate all their necessary abilities.
- Enter the field as the main damage dealer and hit while Ye Lan's ult is active. Then repeat the cycle.
Сonclusion
Ye Lan in Genshin Impact is a good Hydro applicator and burster that can free up a slot with Xingqiu for the second squad in the same Abyss. Her elevation requires materials from Li Yue, which makes leveling her up easier for beginners. Due to the constant Hydro damage and buff from her ult, she is an excellent character for setting records and playing through reactions, and thanks to her versatility, she will find a place in almost any squad.

Which is better for Ye Lan: Signa or C1?
The choice between the first constellation for Ye Lan and her signature weapon is best made based on the account conditions:
- If Ye Lan is playing with Hydro allies, it is better to choose a signature. It will significantly increase her personal damage, and problems with energy can be easily solved by giving Favonium to someone or changing the artifacts a little.
- Take C1 if you can’t get enough energy recovery and have problems activating the cooldown ult. The first constellation is not needed to increase damage, but to reduce the requirements for energy recovery.
