Keqing in Genshin Impact: Guide & Build ⚡️

Keqing in Genshin ImpactKeqing Guide Genshin impact — a standard Electro damage dealer with a one-handed sword. The heroine uses E to create elemental infusion on her normal and charged attacks, and deals the main damage from her hand and elemental explosion.

Due to her frequent attacks, Keqing plays well with Dendro units, constantly maintaining the Stimulation reaction and receiving an increase in damage from each hit. Her mechanics are not tied to specific elements, and as for equipment, there are many different options, but to close the game content, good investments in the form of legendary supports and sub-DDs are necessary.

In the game, Keqing has the title of Jade Balance and belongs to the Qixing faction in Liyue, which is suspicious of the Archons. Despite her noble origins, the girl is used to achieving everything on her own. For this reason, she does not like her God's Eye, since those around her attribute all her achievements to it.

Keqing's abilities

Keqing – Electro swordswoman who attacks from the hand charged attacks, and in the area using the ult. Her elemental skill allows you to place a stiletto and be attracted to it, coloring the weapon with Electro infusion. Explosion of the elements Keqing deals area damage and provides useful buffs to the character.

Basic skills (active skills)

Next, we’ll take a closer look at all of Keqing’s skills and tell you in what order they need to be developed. We will also analyze passive abilities and constellations, separately mentioning the most useful of them.

Lightning Fencing (Normal, Charged, Falling Attacks)

Source of damage: Attack Power.

Normal attack: deals up to five blows with a sword.

Charged Attack: makes two swings with the weapon, causing damage in front of him.

Plunging Attack: drops to the ground and attacks in an area after landing.

Return of the Star (Elemental Skill)

Source of damage: Attack Power.

Rollback: 7.5 seconds

Creates a Thunder Stiletto that deals Electro damage to enemies and places a Stiletto Mark. With a long press, you can choose the direction of the Thunder Stiletto throw and place it even in the air.

Thunder Stiletto: Repeat the skill to instantly teleport to the Stiletto Mark and unleash an AoE Electro attack. If a charged attack is carried out on the stiletto, it will disappear, and in place of the Mark, a series of Electro strikes will be activated, causing damage in the area.

Skypath Sword (Elemental Burst)

Source of damage: Attack Power.

Rollback: 12 seconds

Power consumption: 40

Deals Electro damage in an area, and then performs a series of dashes, during which it attacks opponents. The series ends with another area strike.

The order of leveling talents

Normal Attacks > Elemental Burst (Q) > Elemental Skill (E)

In battle, Keqing most often uses charged and normal attacks, so this ability needs to be upgraded first and to the maximum level. Then you should pay attention to the elemental explosion, which also deals a decent amount of damage. The elemental skill needs to be upgraded at the very end, because its main role is to provide infusion and maneuverability of the character, and only then damage.

Passive skills

Keqing's Passive Abilities:

Talent Effect
land manager Reduces the duration of expeditions to Li Yue by 25%.
Thundering Penance When reactivating an elemental skill, grants Keqing's weapon Electro Infusion for 5 sec.
nobility of an aristocrat Increases Keqing when Elemental Burst is activated crit chance и energy recovery by 15% for 8 sec.

Constellations

Constellations Keqing:

Sozvezdie Effect
1. Thunder power When reactivating Star Return while there is a Thunder Stiletto on the battlefield, Keqing will deal AoE Electro damage equal to 50% of her attack power at the starting and ending points of her teleportation.
2. Heavy taxes Keqing's hits on an enemy with the Electro effect have a 50% chance to create an elemental particle. Can occur once every 5 seconds.
3. Up the hierarchy Increases the level of the Heavenly Path Sword skill by 3.
Max. level: 15
4. Tool setup When triggering Electro Reactions, Keqing increases Attack Power by 25% for 10 sec.
5. The Wish of the Stars Increases the level of the Star Return skill by 3.
Max. level: 15
6. The Stubborn Star When performing a normal or charged attack, or when activating an elemental skill or elemental burst, Keqing gains 6% bonus Electro Damage for 8 sec.
Effects caused by a normal attack, charged attack, elemental skill, or elemental burst exist separately from each other.

Keqing's best constellations – С4 и С6.

  • The fourth constellation gives additional attack power after calling any Electro reaction. Since Keqing often plays in teams with characters of other elements, primarily Dendro, the additional attack power will give some increase in damage.
  • The sixth constellation increases Electro damage after using any of Keqing's abilities. Since the heroine uses all her skills during the battle, this buff can be maintained throughout the entire battle.

How to play Keqing

Keqing is the main damage dealer in the squad, dealing elemental damage with both hand attacks and elemental explosion. The elemental skill summons a stiletto either in front of the character or at any point depending on where it is placed after long pressing the skill. To get Electro Infusion, you need to reuse the skill and pull yourself to the stiletto.

Please note that after hitting a stiletto with a charged attack, it disappears and the infusion cannot be obtained until the skill cools down.

Most of Keqing's damage comes from her charged attacks while under Electro Infusion. Before each charged attack, the character performs a normal forward lunge, which allows her to interact with supports that work with normal damage attacks, such as Xingqiu and Ye Lan. Keep in mind that charged attacks consume stamina, so carefully control it and switch to regular attacks in time to be able to dodge enemy attacks.

Since the cooldown of the skill is 2.5 seconds. longer than the infusion, there will be a window between Keqing's attacks anyway. The first way to close it is to use an ult. In this case, you need to place a stiletto, then activate the ultimate and then apply the infusion using the teleporter. The second and easier way is to spend this time updating buffs from your allies.

Rotation

Procedure:

Q (Elemental Burst) > E (Elemental Skill, Stiletto Setup) > E (Elemental Skill Press Again, Infusion Activation) > Charged Attacks.

Keqing's rotation in battle:

  1. Activate support skills to distribute buffs, as well as sub-deaders that will give elemental status to enemies. If there is a support character with Epic of the Dragonslayers, his abilities should be clicked last.
  2. Switch to Keqing and activate her ultimate to increase crit chance and energy recovery.
  3. Press E twice to receive an Electro Infusion.
  4. Use charged attacks while Keqing has stamina.
  5. Repeat from the first point as you roll back.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Ke Ching

Like other characters, Keqing has his own pros and cons:

Advantages Disadvantages
A simple rotation in which you need to use a charged attack and ult most often, which makes it much easier to get used to the character. The charged attack has a high consumption of stamina, which forces you to periodically switch to regular attacks.
This elemental skill gives greater mobility and allows you to quickly close the distance between Keqing and enemies. Electroinfusion becomes available only after reaching the second phase of elevation.
It has a low cooldown of abilities, as well as a cheap elemental explosion, which allows you to abandon the energy restoration set. Requires a large investment in stats and weapons to significantly increase damage despite the fact that the Dendro element has somewhat corrected the situation.
Keqing's basic stat is crit. damage, making it easier to assemble artifacts. Is a standard character, so you can't quickly get character constellations.
The Thunder Stiletto can be placed in the air and used to explore the world.

Best Keqing Builds in Genshin Impact

Keqing is the main damage dealer, dealing Electro damage both in the area and to one target with charged attacks and an explosion of elements. The success of the entire group depends on her, so when selecting artifacts and weapons for her, rely on stats that will maximize her damage and also balance her crit. chance with crit. damage, which is initially quite high due to the basic characteristics.

Recommended characteristic values

Keqing is the main damage dealer of the party, so all of her stats should be geared towards maximizing her own damage. The character needs Crete. damage and crit. chance, which you need to look for both in the secondary characteristics and in the crown. The watch must be taken attack power, however, in Dendro units you can also see an artifact on mastery of the elements provided that the lower stats have good characteristics. The cup must be on Electro damage bonus.

Secondary stats in Keqing artifacts should include crits, attack power, and elemental mastery. At the same time, MS brings great benefits exclusively in squads through Stimulation. Keqing's elemental explosion costs little, so she doesn't need additional energy recovery, especially considering the passive ability Nobility of the Aristocrat.

Below you can study in more detail what characteristics you need to look for in each of the artifacts:

Optimal characteristic values:

  • ATK: from 1700 and above.
  • Crete. chance and crit. damage should be in a 1:2 ratio, for example, where at 60% crit. chance is 120% crit. damage In this case, the most acceptable indicator is critical. the damage will be 160-180% and higher, and the critical chance will be from 70%, but not more than 85%, since the heroine receives 15% after using the ult. Adjust the ratio of characteristics using the crown and weapons.
  • Elemental Mastery: about 150-300 units. Necessary when playing with Dendro characters. In other cases, there is no such need for this stat.

Best weapon

A weapon for Keqing should fully meet her performance needs. Among the swords, crit options are suitable for her. damage or crit. chance, as well as elemental mastery. In addition, you can consider weapons with attack power in the main stats. The following are the swords that can be placed on Keqing:

Name Effect Recommendation

48-674
Critical Damage:
9.6%-44.1%

  • For 5 sec. when dealing elemental damage with a normal attack.
  • For 10 sec. after activating the ult.
  • If the character's elemental energy is below 100%.
The best weapon option for Keqing, since it not only gives a lot of critical damage, but also has a high base. In addition, Keqing is able to stably maintain all three levels of the emblem, since she hangs the infusion on a normal attack.
Primordial Jade Cutter
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
44-542
Critical Chance:
9.6%-44.1%
Increases health by 20%-40%. Buffs attack power by 1.2%-2.4% from max. Weapon carrier's HP. A universal sword that buffs critical chance and allows you to focus on critical damage in artifacts. Increases the character's survivability, but to gain additional attack power there is no point in looking for HP in artifacts.
Haran Geppaku Futsu
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
46-608
Critical Chance:
7.2%-33.1%
Increases elemental damage by 12%-24%. When allies use E-Shki, the wearer gains a level of Spike Wave effect every 0.3 sec. One level of Thorn Wave increases the damage of normal attacks by 20%-40% for 8 sec. Like the previous option, it is an excellent replacement for Fog. Gives critical chance and elemental damage, and also has a high base. Despite the fact that Keqing most often uses charged attacks in battle, before each hold she hits once with a single attack, so the effect of the sword will be useful in any case.
Leaf Cut Light
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
44-542
Critical Damage:
19.2%-88.2%
Increases critical chance by 4%-8%. After being hit by a normal attack, the carrier is infused once every 12 sec. receives the Leaf Cut effect, which increases the damage of normal attacks and E-shki by 120%-240% from the mastery of the elements. It is best revealed in units through the Stimulation reaction with the Dendro element. It is also recommended to get Keqing at least some elemental mastery. In addition, the weapon does not buff holds, so try to use normal attacks.
Freedom-Sworn
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
46-608
Elemental Mastery:
43-198
Increases damage by 10%-20%. After calling the reaction, the carrier once every 0.5 sec. receives the Talisman of Inspiration. When a character gains two Talismans, they disappear for 12 seconds. increase the damage of normal, charged and falling attacks 16%-32%, and the attack power 20%-40%. The effect also affects allies. A good option for Keqing, who plays through elemental mastery and reaction, especially in Dendro units, but forces more attention to crits. The sword is capable of buffing not only Keqing herself, but also her squad, which may also need additional attack power.
Spade Slicer
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
46-608
Attack Power:
10.8%-49.6%
Increases shield strength by 20%-40%. When a character attacks an enemy, the attack power increases by 4%-8% within 8 seconds. The effect occurs once every 0.3 sec. and folds up to 5 times. If you have a shield, the effect increases by 100%. A weapon that provides a lot of attack power and has a large base. Suitable for Keqing, whose group includes any shield member who can provide a double buff from the sword’s passive.
Eshu's Disaster
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Basic Attack
44-565
Attack Power:
6-27,6%
Increases normal and charged attack damage by 20-40%, as well as the critical hit chance of normal and charged attacks on 8-16%, if the character is protected by a shield. The sword is a great fit for Keqing in Stimulation. Note that if you consider Keqing's ult to be his main source of damage, then even with a shield, it's important to build up a decent crit chance, since the increase in this stat does not apply to elemental burst.
The Black Sword
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
42-510
Critical Chance:
6%-27.6%
Increases damage from normal and charged attacks by 20%-40%. Critical hits with these attacks restore HP equal to 60%-100% from attack power once every 5 sec. The sword is available in the Battle Pass.
The best 4⭐ sword for Keqing, balancing crits and increasing any attacks from the character’s hand. The healing from the passive is quite weak, but can save the character in a critical situation.
dragon roar
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
42-510
Attack Power:
9%-41.3%
Increases damage by 20%-36% against enemies with Pyro or Electro effect. A situational sword for attack power that only looks good on Keqing in units with the mentioned elements - for example, a mono-Electro unit, as well as groups through the Charged or Overload reactions.
Iron Sting
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
42-510
Elemental Mastery:
36-165
After dealing elemental damage every 1 sec. all character damage increases by 6%-12% for 6 sec. The effect stacks up to 2 times. A crafted sword available from the earliest ranks. Due to the mastery of the elements in the main stat, Keqing is perfect in squads through Denrdro reactions. Toukabou Shigure
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
42-510
Elemental Mastery:
36-165
Applies the Cursed Umbrella effect to one enemy for 10 sec. once every 15 sec. The cursed umbrella increases damage to the enemy with an effect on 16%-32%. The sword was available in patch 3.3.
A good sword for Keqing in units via Stimulation. The weapon passive is quite useful, but is only revealed in single-target combat, since the damage buff will not apply when fighting a crowd of enemies.
Flash in the dark
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
45-620
Elemental Mastery:
12-55
Increases all character damage by 12%-24%. If the wearer receives damage, the effect disappears for 5 seconds. A sword with a high base attack for elemental mastery and an overall increase in damage. Well suited to squads through Stimulation. Since the damage increase disappears after receiving damage, it requires the presence of a shield member in the squad or careful monitoring of the situation on the battlefield.
Kagotsurube Isshin
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Basic attack:
42-510
Attack Power:
9%-41.3%
All types of attacks from the hand give the effect of Slashing Wind, dealing damage in an area equal to 180% on the strength of the attack. Also for 8 sec. attack power increases by 15%. The weapon can be obtained by completing the Kazuha Legends quest.

Units for Keqing

Keqing in squads always takes the position of the main damage dealer; she cannot be used to deal secondary damage with other main damage dealers on the battlefield. She is capable of both stably playing in mono-Electro squads with a boost from the Anemo character, and entering groups through various reactions thanks to her infusion. Since she causes most of the reactions on her own, she needs strong sub-dampers that can inflict statuses and deal additional damage. Secondary damage dealers may include Dendro, Hydro, Pyro and Anemo characters.

Keqing is a fairly maneuverable, but fragile hero, so she needs supports who will provide the necessary support. Also note that some artifacts and weapons require shield members on the team.

Best characters

Let's take a closer look at all the characters who can successfully play in the same squad with Keqing. For convenience, the heroes are divided into roles in the group.

Xian Yun
Mono-elemental squad with Keqing. You can put any Electro sub-DD on the second slot, and one of the healers on the third slot. Anemo hero will cause Dispersion and increase the squad's Electro damage. If necessary, you can take two Electro sub-dds and take an Anemo healer instead of a buffer.

Lynette
F2P squad with Keqing through Vegetation. On the last slot you can put Dendro as a sub-DD for a more stable status or an Anemo character for inflation if you have the Viridescent Venerer set.

Сonclusion

Keqing is a strong and convenient main damage dealer that is available from the standard banner. She possesses the Electro element, which has become much stronger with the advent of the Dendro element. Keqing is easy to assemble and not too demanding on the characteristics of artifacts, which in most cases are balanced by weapons. Also, this character does not have complex mechanics that beginners cannot understand.

Despite the large number of advantages, Keqing is still a standard character who loses to many event heroes. In addition, it is difficult for her to purposefully collect constellations, since they appear randomly.
