Guide to Finding the Hydro Hypostasis Arena and Fighting the Boss in Genshin impact. Rules for composing an effective squad to defeat a given opponent.
Hydro hypostasis He in Genshin Impact — this is the boss of Inazuma, which became available to players in update 2.1. Like all hypostasis, he has his own unique features and skills. All skills and effects are related to the Hydro element in one way or another.
In this article, we'll take a look at his location, skills, and group composition for a quick win.
Where to find Hydro Hypostasis
Hydro Hypostasis is located in a cave in the north Watatsumi Islands. The location of this cube on the map will be visible immediately after the activation of the Electro Archon statue in the west of Sangonomy.
There are two entrances to the boss cave. One is located on the top of the mountain from the sea. Going down this route, you can pick up electrocule.
The player will find the second way if he enters from the south side of the mountain (from the side of the island).
The boss himself is located on the round arena already familiar to us, the limits of which he does not leave.
Composition of the squad against Hydro Hypostasis
In the battle with the Hydro-cube, the key element is - Cryo. For the optimal passage of this boss, there must be a representative of this element in the group.
Character | Weapon | Description |
---|---|---|
Ganyu | Ganyu in the battle with Hydro Hypostasis is the strongest character. She is able to deal decent core damage and kill slimes quickly (with a single attack), which is the key to defeating this boss. | |
Dione | The second most useful character against the Hydro-Cube. Does not deal much damage, but always gives useful shields, and can also destroy slimes at a distance with two charged shots. | |
Eloy | Another Cryo Archer in Genshin Impact 2.1 available only to PS 4/5 players. Ranged attacks from Cryo elements are useful against the Hydro Cube anyway. Aloy has the advantage that when stacking Spiral, elemental attacks become simple (no charging). | |
Ayaka | She does not have long-range attacks, but she is able to quickly move around the battlefield and has Cryo-infusion. It may well replace the archers against this boss. In addition, it is capable of inflicting very large damage to the core with elemental skills. | |
Keya | Archers will not replace, but has a low cooldown on the elemental skill, as well as an ult that follows the character. | |
Rosary | Has low cooldown and dash on elemental skill. But killing a slime in one attack still won't work. The remaining Cryo characters have even more trouble with this. |
Also, the passage will facilitate a character capable of a shield group.
Character | Element | Weapon | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Zhongli | The owner of the strongest shield in the game. | ||
Dione | Can perform two roles at once - and distribute shields and kill slimes. | ||
Noelle | The shield has a long cooldown, but in reality there is only one situation when it is really needed (described in the combat strategy). | ||
Ningguang | Shields do not directly create, but creates crystals from Geo's reaction. But by picking them up we will get a shield. The shields are not very strong, but Ningguang creates them all the time. She is also capable of inflicting very high damage to the core. |
To deal damage to the core and slimes that heal the cube, characters with high DPS by standard are suitable.
Character | Element | Weapon | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Ningguang | Can create attack jade even if it doesn't deal damage. So our rotation at the moment of vulnerability of the core is as follows: charged attack - x3 normal attacks - charged attacks. | ||
Ayaka | Able to quickly approach and immediately, having received a Cryo-infusion, begin to deal damage. | ||
Yoimiya | Her skill quickly activates, after which she can deal a lot of damage. | ||
Hu Tao | The situation is similar to Yoimiya, but only in close combat. | ||
Xiao | Deals very good damage in the ultimate, but the rest of the time it will have to be actively recharged. | ||
Keqing | Can quickly approach and after receiving the Electro-infusion, begin to deal damage. |
Group examples
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
We take Ganyu to destroy the slimes. Core damage is tricky, as she barely has time to release a second charged attack during her vulnerability. But Yoimiya will do just fine with this. Fischl is for even more damage, and Dione is for shields and Cryo Resonance. | ||||
Cheap group of only 4* characters. Yanfei and Fischl - for core damage. Bennet - to increase their damage. Dione is needed for shields and destroying slimes. | ||||
An electro group that deals a lot of damage from a full cast. Dione - gives shields and slime hunting. |
How to beat Hydro Hypostasis in Genshin Impact
All of the Hydro Cube's attacks deal damage both up close and from a distance. The main feature of hypostasis can be called self-healing during the battle. The battle with him can be conditionally divided into two phases:
- the main phase - when we directly fight the cube, dodge its attacks and damage the core;
- recovery stage - with almost complete destruction of the core, Hypostasis tries to recover.
Features of attacks and how to counter them
- Hye is covered in a water sphere, and then throws two slimes to the edges of the arena: blue and light blue.
The blue slime will chase the character and when it gets close, after a short delay, it will explode. But he shouldn't be too afraid. Its explosion is quite easy to dodge, and the damage itself is not critical.
The blue slime stands still and does no damage. But he should be feared much more, because he periodically heals Hypostasis. Should be killed first
- He turns into a kind of water whirlwind, after which rain clouds appear above the hero and attack with a powerful downpour.
The attack is not dangerous if you do not constantly stand in the affected area.
- He transforms into three dolphins and quickly swoops down to attack the traveler.
The attack area is not very large and after the start of movement, the direction does not change - it is enough just to dodge with a jerk to the side.
- He summons cube-waves that rotate towards him, exploding at the end.
This attack does a lot of damage, especially when it explodes. But during it, it is impossible to attack the core of the cube, so go beyond the affected area by slipping between the rolling cubes. Initially, the gap between them is very large.
- He is covered with a water sphere, outlining a circle under him.
After that, it explodes, scattering cubic pieces of the shell around the edges of the circle and opening the core for an attack for a long time. Throughout the duration of the skill, dolphins will fall on the player. Their damage is not very high, but permanent, so it is recommended to dodge incoming attacks.
When attacking the core, it is worth remembering that at the end of the skill, the cube parts will return to the core and explode, causing great damage.
Battle plan
Hydro Hypostasis does not particularly pursue its target and attacks from any distance. His attacks themselves, even if they do a lot of damage, are not too dangerous, because. they are easy to dodge. The main difficulty, perhaps, should be considered short intervals for striking the core. Because of this, situations are possible when activating additional skills, such as Bennett's ult or Xiangling, will be unjustified.
The best moment to apply maximum damage to the core - when parts of the Hypostasis shell scatter to the sides. During the reverse recovery of the cube, you can literally cast everything that the squad has into it, perhaps more than once. At this point, it's good to have one of the heroes with a shield so that when the elemental parts return, you don't have to dodge.
In the recovery phase, the boss releases four slimes on different sides of the arena. The slimes slowly crawl towards the cube and each one that reaches it restores the health of the Hypostasis. They definitely need to be killed. The easiest way to do this Cryo attacks, each of which will remove half of the slime's armor. You won't have to hit a target without armor, because. it bursts after two hits.
The ideal character is Ganyu, because she can attack from a distance, and her charged attack deals Cryo damage twice, which immediately kills the slime. The alternative is Dione, who also hits at long range with Cryo Arrows. Once received by Aloy, her E-box becomes relevant with simple elemental shots.
