History (biography)

Clorinda in Genshin Impact is the strongest duelist in the Fontaine High Court. Her main job is to conduct fights with defendants instead of regular hearings. If the guilty person defeats the duelist, he can not only escape punishment, but also become famous. However, Clorinda's fame in the Cour de Fontaine is so high that, as soon as they see her name on the lists, the defendants refuse to fight.

Being a fairly well-known personality in the Hydro region, Clorinda herself does not strive for popularity. The girl even publicly announced that she did not want to communicate with reporters. However, despite her taciturnity and detachment, Clorinda is always attentive to people close to her, and also helps them.

The development of Clorinda's story can be found in her legends quest "Rapier: Silent Night".

Clorinda's abilities

Clorinda uses elemental skillto enter the Night's Watch state, activating her stance. During stance she receives an infusion and uses modified normal attacks to cause damage. At the same time, all of her normal hits during the Night's Watch give her the Life Debt debuff, and the skill removes it. elemental explosion Clorinda puts Life Debt on the heroine and deals high instant damage. It is important to mention that while the stance is active, healing from allies does not restore Clorinda's HP, but, on the contrary, increases her Life Debt, which is important for maintaining combat effectiveness. The heroine can only be healed outside of the stance or with an elemental skill.

You can read in a separate guide How does Life Debt work?.

Basic skills (active skills)

Next, we will tell you in more detail about all the mechanics and abilities of Clorinda, as well as in what order you need to upgrade her talents. We will also list all the heroine’s passives and her constellations.

Oath of the Twilight Court (normal, charged, fall attack)

Normal attack: makes up to five quick sword strikes in melee combat.

Charged Attack: spends some stamina and pulls out a musket, which he uses to attack in front of him in an area.

Plunging Attack: lands on the ground and deals area damage upon landing.

Hunt Darkness (Elemental Skill)

Night Watch duration: 7.5 sec.

Cooldown: 16 sec.

He takes a musket and enters the Night's Watch state, in which he uses both a sword and small arms.

The night Watch: all of Clorinda's normal attacks turn into Fury Hunt, becoming musket fire, and gain an Electro Infusion that cannot be knocked down by other infusions. Also in this state the character cannot use charged attacks. The elemental skill becomes Night Pierce. During Night Pierce, Clorinda dashes and deals Electro damage. In this case, all damage is considered the damage of a normal attack.

While Clorinda is in Night's Watch, she can only receive healing from Night's Pierce. Heal from other sources does not work and is converted into Life Debt equal to 80% of the treatment received. The Night's Watch disappears if you switch from Clorinda to another character.

Compared to mechanics Arlekino, the main difference is that Clorinda doesn't mind having healers on her team. Since the healing she receives does not reduce Life Debt, but instead increases it, it helps her maintain her stance. Healers in a squad with Clorinda can be considered not just supports for survival, but also partially buffers.

Furious Hunt:

 • If Clorinda's Life Debt effect is less than 100% of max. Clorinda's HP - Musket shots give her this debuff depending on her health level. At the same time, the bullets have a piercing effect, and the damage to enemies in their path increases.
 • If the effect of Life Debt is greater than or equal to 100% of the max. Clorinda's HP - She fires a musket.

Piercing the Night: the effect of the skill depends on the amount of Life Debt Clorinda has.

 • If Life Debt is 0%, Clorinda makes a dash.
 • If Life Debt is less than 100% of max. Heroine's HP - Pierce of the Night restores Clorinda's health in proportion to the debuff value and increases the radius and damage of the next Pierce.
 • If Life Debt is greater than or equal to 100% of max. Clorinda's health - she performs Night's Pierce: Pact, which further restores her HP and increases the range and damage of the next Night's Pierce.

Arche: Usiya - When Furious Hunt shots hit enemies, a Blade of Turbulent Waters is created above them, which deals Electro damage to the Ushii.

Last rays of light (elemental explosion)

Cooldown: 15 sec.

Energy consumption: 60 units

Clorinda gives herself a Life Debt effect proportional to her max. HP and then attacks with the sword and musket, dealing Electro damage in an area.

The order of leveling talents

E (elemental skill) > Q (Elemental Burst) > Normal Attacks

Clorinda's main damage comes from her elemental skill, which gives an infusion and enhances normal attacks. It needs to be downloaded first and raised to the maximum level. elemental explosion you need to level it up in parallel with E-shka to at least level 7, since it not only deals excellent damage, but also gives the Life Debt effect, the percentage of which increases with each level of the ability. Normal attacks however, they are not needed, since their interest does not go into the Night Watch accounting and only works outside of it.

Passive skills

Clorinda's Passive Abilities:

Talent What gives
Loot of the Night's Watch Marks Fontaine's curiosities on the mini-map.
Darkness-piercing flames

When an ally causes an Electro reaction on an enemy, the Electro damage of a normal attack and elemental burst is increased by 20% of her attack power for 15 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times and is counted separately for each level. The maximum damage increase value cannot exceed 1800 units.

To reach the maximum value, 3000 attack power is required.

Legal reward

When Clorinda's Life Debt is equal to or greater than 100% of her max. HP, when the Life Debt value decreases or increases, its critical chance. hits for 15 sec. increases by 10%. The effect stacks up to 2 times.

In addition, the Night's Watch's Shadowhunting skill status is enhanced: while it is active, the percentage of healing converted to Life Debt increases to 100%.

Constellations

All constellations of Clorinda:

Name Materials
1. “And so I pass the curtain of shadow from the candle”

The electro damage of Clorinda's normal attack, hitting an enemy while the Night's Watch is in effect with the Darkness Hunting skill, summons a Shadow of the Night's Watch next to him. The Shadow makes two combined attacks, each of which deals Electro damage equal to 30% of Clorinda's attack power.

The effect can occur in 1.2 seconds. Damage dealt this way is considered normal attack damage.

2. “And here we are face to face with the danger of the long night.”

Passive Talent: Gloom-Tearing Flame is buffed when a nearby party member uses Electro Reaction on an enemy, Electro Damage from a normal attack, and Clorinda's Last Beams of Light for 15 sec. increases by 30% of her attack power for 15 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times, and the timing of each level occurs separately. At 3 levels, Clorinda's interrupt resistance increases. The maximum increase in Clorinda's attack damage gained this way cannot exceed 2700.

To reach the maximum value, 3000 attack power is required.

3. “I pledge to remember the Daylight Oath.” Increases elemental skill level by 3.
Max. level: 15.
4. “Remember tears, life and love” The damage dealt by the Last Rays of Light skill increases in proportion to the percentage of Clorinda's Life Debt. For every 1% of the current Life Debt, the damage of the skill Last Rays of Light increases by 2%. The maximum damage increase for the Last Rays of Light skill obtained in this way cannot exceed 200%.
5. “Remember that the dawn has come” Increases the level of Last Rays of Light (elemental explosion) by 3.
Max. level: 15.
6. “Therefore I will never lose hope.”

Within 12 sec. after using Hunt for Darkness (E-shki), critical chance. Clorinda's hits increase by 10% and crit. damage - by 70%.

Additionally, while the Night's Watch is active, in certain situations the Shadow of a Bright Candle will appear and attack, dealing 200% of Clorinda's attack power as Electro damage. Damage dealt this way is considered normal attack damage.

The shadow of a bright candle appears in the following situations:

 • When Clorinda is about to be attacked.
 • When Clorinda casts Night Pierce: Pact.

One Shadow of a bright candle can be summoned by such creatures no more than once every 1 sec. During the same Night's Watch state, Bright Candle Shadow can be summoned up to 6 times. Additionally, while in Night's Watch state, Clorinda's damage taken is reduced by 80% and her resistance to interruption is increased. This effect ends when the Night's Watch ends or within 1 second. after summoning the Shadow of a bright candle 6 times.

The best constellations of Clorinda - С1, С4 и С6.

 • first constellation Allows two additional attacks during Night's Watch stance when Clorinda uses normal attacks. These attacks do not do much damage, but have a low CD, which adds up to a pretty good addition to the character’s final damage, since Clorinda is in the Night’s Watch state most of the time.
 • fourth constellation increases the damage of the next elemental explosion depending on the amount of Life Debt hanging on the character. To get the maximum bonus, you must have 100% Life Debt. This is very convenient, since in Clorinda’s ult she first puts a debuff on herself and then attacks, dealing increased damage.
 • sixth constellation is the strongest for Clorinda, as it not only provides useful stats, but also allows you to deal additional powerful blows to enemies.

How to play as Clorinda

Clorinda's entire gameplay is built around her elemental skill, which puts her into the Night Watch state - a special stance during which the heroine receives an Electro infusion that enhances attacks. Other ability effects depend on the amount of Life Debt Clorinda has.

Initially, Clorinda's Life Debt is 0% and must be increased to 100% or higher. You can do this in two ways:

 • fire three shots with a normal attack while standing (each shot gives 35% Life Debt);
 • activate your ultimate immediately after joining the Night's Watch.

It is important to reset Life Debt on time, since the damage from Furious Hunt shots (normal attacks while standing) is greater when the debuff is less than 100%, and in this case they are also able to pierce through enemies.

Since Clorinda cannot be healed from external sources, she must be healed with Night Pierce, an elemental skill that works during stance. In this case, it is recommended to use the third option of E-shki, Pierce of the Night: Pact, as it provides more healing. Keep in mind that using Pierce of the Night resets Life Debt, so you need to gain it again with regular attacks or an ult.

Rotation

Procedure:

Supports/sub-dds > Q (Elemental Burst) > E (Elemental Skill) > E (Night Pierce: Pact) > 3 normal attacks > E (Night Pierce: Pact) > 3 normal attacks

More detailed description of Clorinda's rotation:

 1. Use sub-deaders and supports' abilities to activate buffs and pocket skills that will grant elemental status for reactions.
 2. Switch to Clorinda and activate her Elemental Burst to gain Life Debt and deal Electro damage, causing a reaction or two along the way and increasing the damage of Clorinda's normal attacks from her passive.
 3. Immediately after this, activate the elemental skill to enter the Night's Watch stance and change the ability to Pierce the Night.
 4. Use Nightpierce: Pact and remove Life Debt.
 5. Perform 3 attacks to restore your Life Debt back to the required value, and cast Night Pierce: Pact again.
 6. Repeat this action until the Night's Watch stance ends, and then return to the first point as you cool down.

Advantages and disadvantages

Let's take a closer look at all the pros and cons of Clorinda:

Advantages Disadvantages
He is a strong main damage dealer, capable of dealing damage at both close and medium ranges thanks to alternating sword strikes and musket shots. She has the Electro element, so she can do a lot of damage, but she is not able to compete with damage dealers who play through stronger first-order reactions.
She can heal herself and inflict Life Debt, which is what her main gameplay is based on. The healer treatment does not work on Clorinda, but it does give her Life Debt. For this reason, it is worth choosing supports that, in addition to pure healing, are able to provide something useful for the entire squad, for example, elemental statuses or buffs.
Shots fired during the Furious Hunt have a piercing effect, which allows you to quickly deal with groups of enemies. Pressing abilities with different amounts of Life Debt gives different effects, which is why it is necessary to constantly monitor the level of the debuff and rotation.
When elevated, Clorinda's crit increases. chance. This characteristic is also enhanced during the action of the passive skill Lawful Reward, which simplifies the selection of stats in artifacts and allows you to pay more attention to crit. damage. Has strong constellations that significantly increase the character's damage with the acquisition of each of them compared to C0.
When leveling up, you only need attack power and crits. Elemental Burst is fairly inexpensive, and Elemental Mastery is a situational stat, so you can focus on maximizing your character's damage output completely.
It has a useful passive that simplifies the collection of curiosities in Fontaine.

Also useful to her Crete. damage и Crete. chance, however, due to the high base chance rate. hits, you should pay more attention to critical damage. Energy recovery Clorinda doesn't really need it because of the inexpensive elemental burst, but an extra percentage of this stat in the sub-stats won't be superfluous.

It is worth considering separately mastery of the elements. Clorinda is an Electro character, so this characteristic will only be useful when playing in squads with Dendro reactions. In other cases, there is no point in collecting Clorinda in the MC.

Units for Clorinda

Clorinda is the main damage dealer who deals most of the damage and under whom all other heroes are matched. The character plays from the Life Debt mechanic, and also cannot be healed from the abilities of allies. However, unlike Harlequin, which is also associated with this debuff, healers give Clorinda additional Life Debt values. Therefore, they can be actively used in a squad, especially if they provide useful buffs or elemental status for reactions.

Also, when choosing a squad for Clorinda, you need to consider her second passive, Flames That Rip Darkness. The heroine needs to summon Electro reactions, and to get the maximum damage increase, you need to summon 3 reactions. These can be reactions of the same type, for example, several Stimulations summoned, or interactions with different elements: Overload and Charged at the same time.

Top Teams

Clorinda's most powerful commands are built on summoning elemental reactions and have a buffer for attack power or elemental damage. It's easier to complete a full rotation with shielders, but healers will help you maintain a stable Life Debt, so you can use any supports depending on your personal preferences. Cryo characters, although they will give Clorinda a stack of passives due to the Superconductor’s reaction, will not bring any benefit, so you should refrain from using them.

Сonclusion

Clorinda is a legendary Electro character who plays off normal attacks while her Night's Watch stance is active. In addition, her attacks and skills change their effect depending on the amount of Life Debt debuff hanging on her. When playing as Clorinda, you need to constantly monitor the level of Life Debt, put it on and off in time, in order to consistently deal high damage. The heroine also cannot receive treatment from allies, which will complicate the gameplay for those players who are used to always taking a healer into their squad.

In addition, Clorinda values provoking reactions from allies to increase her own damage, so she usually prefers secondary damage dealers, rather than supports with a small amount of status. The heroine cannot be called imbalanced, and when knocking her out, you should be ready to invest a lot of resources in revealing her full potential.

Which is better for Clorinda: signa or c1?

The signature weapon Absolution is better for Clorinda than c1, so the choice should be made in its favor. This sword is the only legendary weapon that gives a character damage buff from increasing Life Debt. Absolution also increases crit. the damage Clorinda especially needs is 64.1%.

C1 should be chosen if your account already has Mist Cutter, Haran Geppaku Futsu or Light of Leaf Cut, and there are no other characters for whom the listed swords are more important. Any of these swords is slightly inferior in damage to the signature, so it will also be able to show excellent results and be equal to it along with the additional damage from the Shadows of the Night Watch of the first constellation.
