Major changes in skills after the release of patch 2.0

Free update 2.0 released on September 21st completely changed skills in Cyberpunk 2077. There are fewer abilities than there were at release, but their direct impact on the gameplay has greatly increased. Passive skills that increase certain indicators still remain, but many new ones have appeared. By leveling up the ability tree, you will be able to unlock new skills, for example: acceleration for netrunners, shooting with discharges from electromagnetic weapons, an adrenaline rush for builds through force, and much more.

Due to a complete overhaul of the skill system, all previously distributed ability points have been returned. In addition, you can return all stat points once. Old development branches have been combined into five new ones:

  • Killer.
  • Netrunner.
  • Shinobi.
  • Solo.
  • Engineer.

These “classes” are not limited by the level of a specific characteristic, new skills provide passive buffs every five levels, and in total each branch has 60 milestones. You can no longer reset all skill points at once, but you can return points invested in any individual ability for free.

Killer

The Killer branch is aimed at direct confrontations, fierce firefights and the destruction of many enemies. This “class” will allow you to increase damage, hide better from enemies, and much more:
