Characteristics: what increases with elevation
Raiden's main stat that increases when ascending is energy recovery. Along with it, HP indicators increase, attack power и of protection. The exact values are presented in the table.

Abilities
Raiden is very flexible in the role of primary and secondary damage dealer, as well as support. The heroine regenerates energy to allies, increasing their combat effectiveness and allowing them to gain more important stats in artifacts without concentrating on energy restoration.
Next, let's look at how all of Raiden's skills work: damage, special effects, cooldown time and duration. We'll tell you about the priority of leveling them up, and also look at all the constellations and passive talents.
Basic skills (active skills)
- Source (Normal/Charged/Drop Attack)
The character performs a series of simple strikes - up to 5 consecutive spear attacks.
A charged attack consumes stamina to deliver a powerful vertical strike. An air attack deals physical damage over an area upon contact with the ground.
- Dominance: Ominous Omen (Elemental Skill)
Cooldown: 10 sec.
Duration: 25 sec.
The shogun opens his realm, dealing Electro damage to nearby enemies, as well as giving squad members (nearby teammates) the effect Eyes of Storm Punishment:
- When a hero attacks while under this effect, Eye of Thunderous Punishment makes a joint attack and deals Electro damage in an area of effect at the location of the enemy.
- This effect also boosts the elemental explosion by an amount based on how much energy the ult costs at the time of the effect.
The Eye of Storm Punishment can only make one joint attack per unit for 0,9 seconds. The additional Electro damage dealt along with the attacks of teammates not controlled by the player (in co-op mode) only gives 20% of the standard damage value.
- Secret Art: Muso Shinsetsu (Elemental Explosion)
Cooldown: 18 sec.
Energy consumption: 90.
The Archon deals AoE Electro damage and transforms into a different combat form, using Muso no Hitotachi to fight for a certain amount of time. At the same time, the damage of Muso no hitotachi and Muso isshin attacks depends on the accumulated levels of Resolve. It is these charges that are consumed when an elemental explosion is activated.
Muso isshin: In this state, Raiden uses his Electro Sword for all types of attacks. This infusion is not interrupted by other elemental infusions. If the enemy is successfully defeated, energy will be restored to all squad members. The effect triggers once every 1 second (up to 5 times during the entire duration of the ult). Interrupt resistance is also increased, and Raiden gains complete immunity to the Charged reaction.
Muso Isshin's effect disappears when Raiden leaves the fight.
Damage dealt is considered damage explosion of the elements, what you need to consider when choosing weapons and artifacts.
Lust Chakra: When using ultimates by squad members (nearby teammates), Raiden accumulates Resolve in proportion to the cost of the energy of these elemental explosions. The maximum level of Resolve is 60, and the duration after the end of the battle is 300 seconds.
The order of leveling abilities
First pump evenly elemental explosion и elemental skill up to level 6. The damage inflicted by Raiden’s blows during a stance depends on the explosion of elements, and the bonus to the damage of ultimates that she and her allies will receive depends on the level of E-shki. Next, focus on elemental burst, and after maximizing it, bring the E-shka to 8 or higher. Normal attacks It is not recommended to upgrade them, since Raiden does not use them in battle.
Passive skills
Let's look at all Raiden's passive skills:
Talent | When does it open | What gives |
---|---|---|
Keeper of all things | Base | Exalting one-handed and polearms costs 50% less mora. |
Countless dreams | 2nd Ascension Phase | When picking up elemental spheres or particles by party members, Baal's ultimate resolve gains 2 levels. The effect occurs every 3 seconds. |
Enlightened | 4nd Ascension Phase | For every 1% energy regeneration above 100%, the hero gains:
|
Constellations
In the table below you can see all the Raiden constellations:
number | Name | Materials |
---|---|---|
1 | Ominous inscription | Determination points for elemental explosion work are gained even faster. When triggered by an explosion of the elements of Electro heroes in the squad, Raiden receives 80% more such charges, and from representatives of other elements - by 20%. |
2 | steel breaker | Muso no hitachi and Muso isshin attacks from the skill Arcane Art: Muso Shinsetsu ignore 60% of the opponent's defense. |
3 | Shinkage of bygone days | Lv. "Secret Art: Muso Shinsetsu" +3 (Max 15) |
4 | Oath of Truth | Upon exiting an elemental explosion, grants all party members (except herself) +30% Attack Power for 10 seconds. |
5 | Descent of the Shogun | Lv. Dominance: Ominous Omen +3 (Max 15) |
6 | Wish Keeper | Normal, charged, and falling attacks while under the effect of an elemental explosion reduce the cooldown of the ult of the rest of the party members by 1 second. It works once every 1 second (maximum 5 times during the duration of the skill). |
The strongest constellation for Raiden is С2. Other constants also contribute, but at a lower level, and further than C2, in general, there is no point in twisting. Let's analyze each constellation separately:
- first constellation increases the accumulation of resolve stacks. This affects damage, but not as much as it might seem. The catch is that a strong increase comes only from Electro characters, and Raiden often plays either alone in a squad, or with at most one hero of the same element. There is no point in deliberately turning to this constellation, but if it falls out, then you can consider it as a pleasant addition.
- Second constellation cuts the defense of enemies by 60%, which increases the damage of Electro Archon by approximately 35%. One of the strongest constellations in the game, revealing her potential as a true main DD team. If you are knocking out constellations for the sake of damage, then it makes sense to stop there; subsequent consts will not make a greater contribution to the damage.
- fourth constellation strengthens allies. The constellation is not very significant, since there are already many opportunities to buff the team with this stat, but this bonus does not affect Raiden herself.
- sixth constellation Reduces the cooldown of allies' ultimates. A nice bonus, but it doesn’t directly affect damage.
Advantages and disadvantages
Like other heroes, Raiden has her own advantages and disadvantages. Let's look at them in more detail:
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Is universal "battery" (a hero who replenishes the energy of the squad). While Elemental Burst is active, charges up teammates while allowing them to have lower self-energy regeneration. | Dependence on the cost of elemental explosions of other characters when receiving stacks of Resolve. |
The high personal damage dealt in a short period of time makes her a powerful damage dealer even with C0. | Cannot interact with some heroes such as Beidou, Electro Traveler (due to the nature of her ult) or use certain buffers (Yun Jin), which limits synergy with heroes who would otherwise benefit from the extra energy. |
Can be effective both as a main damage dealer and as a sub-deader or support, providing passive Electro damage outside the battlefield. | In some situations, it can override other reactions with an elemental skill. |
Easy to pick up quality weapons, including a strong F2P variant ("Catch") and 5* spears, which are valuable but not required. | |
The key constellations that affect Raiden's effectiveness and damage are early (C1 and C2). | |
Decreased mora cost for raising polearms and swords. |
Overall, this is a good secondary or main damage dealer that is effective at both dealing Electro damage and restoring energy to squad members.
Shogun Raiden Leveling Up
Let's look at what materials are needed to level up Raiden to the maximum level, where to find them, and what resources are needed to level up talents.
Elevation
To ascend Raiden you will need:
- Shards, fragments, pieces and precious Vajrad stones - can be obtained from world bosses: Electro Hypostasis, Thunder Manifestation, Flock of vishaps of the depths, Electro Regisvine и Primo Geovishap. Also mined by recrafting other stones and Nitrogen dust on the workbench.
- Guards (old, kageuchi and famous) - material that can be knocked out of mobs Kairagi и Nobushi.
- cloud grass fruit - a curiosity from Inazuma.
- Storm Pearls are a resource awarded for defeating a world boss. Thunder Manifestation.
- 420 000 Mora and 421 hero experience.
Talents
To upgrade Raiden's talents, in addition to guards, you also need the following books and materials:
- Teachings, guidelines and philosophies about the “Light” - Talent Books from the Dungeon Violet Court. farmed in Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Molten Moment - material from the weekly boss Signora.
- Crown of Insight — an item for increasing talents to level 10.
- 1 653 000 Mora.
You can calculate the amount of missing materials using Genshin Impact Calculator.
Best builds for Shogun Raiden in Genshin Impact
Raiden is a strong and flexible damage dealer who can offer the rest of his team members bonuses in the form of energy fills, almost constant Electro status even when not outside the battlefield, and a buff to damage from ults. In general, its roles can be described as follows:
- Driver. The main role is to provide allies with energy and be the "link" in the squad. For example, in the national team, Raiden does not deal the main damage, but improves the interaction and strength of all other heroes.
- Main damage dealer. As a rule, such teams are based on increasing her own damage and do not include other sub-dps. They are replaced by buffers such as Bennett, Sarah, Kazuha, Zhongli, Nahida.
- Nuclear explosion. This is a team game with Dendro and Hydro heroes. Unlike the roles listed above, in this one she is going completely into mastery of the elements. In such units, Raiden almost never presses his ultimate, and the main damage comes from the elemental skill, which explodes the cores from Budding. It is important to note that in teams it is impossible to collect a “hybrid” Ei from the Budding reaction, as both its own damage and the explosion of the cores will be lost.
Recommended characteristic values
In the table below we demonstrate the characteristics that it is advisable to look for for a Raiden build.
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % Attack Power % | |
Attack Power (Permanent) | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % Attack Power % | |
Attack Power % Energy Recovery % Elemental Mastery | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % Attack Power % | |
Bonus Electro Damage % Attack Power % Elemental Mastery | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % Attack Power % | |
Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Elemental Mastery | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Energy Recovery % Attack Power % |
Optimal stat values:
- ATK: 1600+ units.
- Chance of crit and crit. damage: ratio 1:2 (for example, 60 ksh and 120 ksh).
- Energy recovery: from 210%. Ideally around 260-270%. However, if you are playing with the Emblem of Shattered Fate set, then you should not cross the 300% threshold, since beyond it the set bonus stops working.
- Elemental Mastery: in a team from Vegetation reaction, Raiden needs 600-700+ MS. If she plays Stimulation, then 100-200 units. enough. In other cases, MS is not necessary.
- The cup for attack power is worth taking if the team does not have a buffer for attack power (Sarah, Chevreuse or Bennett), there are third-party elemental damage buffs (Kazuha, Furina), and also if you play with a weapon that gives a lot of attack.
- The Electro Damage Cup should be taken if Raiden has a signal, a spear with a lot of attack power, or the team has a hero who enhances the value of this stat.
It is worth noting that if you choose a cup for attack power, the hours are taken strictly to restore energy.
The required energy recovery value is quite individual and depends on the team. The more expensive the allies' ultimates, the more of this stat you need to gain. The minimum value can be called 210%, but for a comfortable game, as a rule, 250-270% is necessary.
Best weapon
When choosing Raiden's weapon, it is important to consider that her standing strikes count as ultimate damage, so she won't fit spears that buff the damage of normal or charged attacks. When choosing, give preference to weapons that give energy recovery, crit. chance or crit. damage or attack power.
Name | Description | Recommendations |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 46 ~ 608 Restore energy: 12% ~ 55,1% | Attack power increased by 28% of the energy recovery rate over 100%. The maximum attack power bonus is 80%. When activating an elemental burst, energy recovery is increased by 30% for 12 seconds. | Raiden signature weapon. An additional benefit is that it provides attack power and a large amount of HP to deal damage, making it easier to balance between attack and recovery. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 42 ~ 510 Restore energy: 10% ~ 45,9% | Elemental explosion damage increases by 32%, and his crit chance. hits increases by 12%. | At maximum awakening and with attack buffers (Bennett, Sarah, Chevreuse) he can compete with Raiden’s signature. Provides energy restoration and simplifies stat balance due to additional crit. chance. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 45-620 Attack Power: 3%-13,8% | The elemental explosion damage of the character equipped with this weapon is increased by 0.12%-0,24% for each unit of the total amount of energy of all members of the squad. Damage bonus cannot exceed 40%-80%. | The value of a spear varies greatly depending on awakening, team energy costs and buffs. If the requirements are met, it can compete with even legendary weapons and allows you to free up valuable spears for another character if necessary. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 46-608 Crete. damage: 14,4%-66,2% | Increases HP by 20-40%. Also grants an attack bonus equal to 0,8-1,6% from max. The HP of the character equipped with this weapon. When a hero's health drops below 50%, their attack power is additionally increased by 1-1,8% from his max. HP. | Despite the fact that Raiden's skills do not allow her to reduce her own health to activate the second part of the passive, the weapon provides a large bonus to crit. damage and attack power. When using it in artifacts, you need to look for as much energy recovery as possible. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 48-674 Crit chance. hits: 4,8-22,1% | On hit, increases attack power by 3,2-6% for 6 seconds. The effect can stack up to 7 times and appears no more than once every 0,3 seconds. At level 7, damage dealt is increased by 12-24%. | Gives high base attack, crit. chance for stat balance and damage affix. With this weapon, it is advisable to make several hits with normal attacks before activating the ult in order to gain stacks and deal the main damage under maximum buffs. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 48 ~ 674 Restore energy: 8% ~ 36,8% | Increases crit chance. hit by 8%-16% and normal attack speed by 12%. On hit with a normal or charged attack, there is a 50% chance to activate an intangible blade that deals 40%-100% damage in a small radius. Can occur every 2 sec. | The base stats are better than Catch, but the passive is worse. Raiden does not activate the second part of the bonus while ulting, as her hits do not count as normal or charged attacks, but can still benefit from attack speed. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 49-741 Attack Power: 3,6%-16,5% | Gives 1224% damage bonus of all elements. Triggering an elemental skill inflicts Enhancement for 20 seconds, increasing attack power by 3,26,4% per second. Can stack up to 6 times. When a party character equipped with this weapon is not on the battlefield, the attack bonus from Enhancement is doubled. | While her E-shka damage is fairly minimal, she is technically one of the few spearmen who can take advantage of her off-field passive for at least a small damage boost. Other 5* weapons may offer more attractive stats, but the huge increase in attack power cannot be underestimated. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-542 Crit chance. hits: 9.6%-44.1% | Increases the attack bonus of the character equipped with this weapon by 52-104% from his mastery of the elements. Hitting an enemy with an elemental skill for 10 sec. bestows the Dream of Crimson Sands: The attack bonus of a character equipped with this weapon is increased by 28-56% from the mastery of the elements. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | An excellent weapon for playing through the Sprawl reaction due to the high increase in crit. chance and attack. Since bonuses are given from elemental mastery, it is important to collect it in sufficient quantities (200-300 units). And to get an additional buff, use an elemental skill every 10 seconds (that is, on cooldown). |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 42-510 Crit chance. hits: 6,0-27,6% | If there are at least 3 characters of different elements in the squad, elemental mastery increases by 120-240 units. | A good option when playing with Dendro characters through Stimulation. It is enough to place one Dendro and Anemo hero in the squad to implement the buff and get an increase in elemental mastery. The element of the fourth hero is unimportant. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 41-454 Crit chance. hits: 8%-36,8% | If there are 2 or more enemies nearby, then the attack power and defense are increased by 16-32%; if there are less than 2 enemies nearby, then the attack power is increased by 24-48%. | Worth considering only if you already own it. Gives nice bonuses, increasing crit. Raiden's attack chance and power. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-565 Restore energy: 6,7-30,8% | Critical attacks have a 60-100% chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 energy. It can occur once every 12-6 seconds. | An option for the first time, there are no other alternatives yet. This spear will not bring much benefit to the team, since its task is to fill energy, and Raiden herself already provides this through her mechanics. For Raiden, he is only useful due to his energy recovery rate and high base attack. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 42-510 Energy recovery 10%-45,9% | Using an elemental skill increases the damage of normal and charged attacks by 8%-16% within 12 sec. The effect can stack up to 2 times. | Even though Raiden won't benefit from her passive ability since her standing strikes count as ultimate damage, the spear will provide an important boost to energy regeneration. Can be used as a last resort if the copies listed above are not available. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-565 Energy recovery 6,6-30,6% | When activating an elemental skill, increases attack power by 10 sec. 20-40% and movement speed by 10%. | It has a simple execution condition and a nice attack power buff. However, given the long duration of Raiden's E-circle, it is important to remember to refresh it periodically to keep the buff active. |
Let's look at weapons for an alternative Raiden build via vegetation. Since the goal of this build is to increase damage with Tier 2 Reactions, you need to find as many mastery of the elements. Best suited for this Storm of dragons, as not only does it have a lot of MC, but it also increases damage against those affected by Hydro.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 41-454 Elemental Mastery: 48-221 | Increases by 20-36% damage against affected enemies Hydro or Pyro items. | High Elemental Mastery is extremely effective for playing Vegetation. Also in a similar composition, you can use the increase in damage from the passive against enemies hit by Hydro. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 42-510 Attack Power: 9%-41,4% | Within 10 sec. after activating the elemental reaction, the attack power will increase by 12-24%, mastery of the elements - on 48-96 units. | A good spear that will give you an increase in attack power and elemental mastery, allowing you to concentrate on gaining energy recovery from artifacts. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44–565 Elemental Mastery: 24–110 | Elemental Reactions with Dendro creates a Revive Leaf next to the character that lasts 10 seconds. Leaf increases the attack power of the hero who picks it up by 16-32% for 12 seconds. Any character from the squad can take the Revive Sheet. The effect does not trigger more than once every 1 seconds. | Free weapons from Sumeru. Increases elemental mastery and attack power after triggering the Vegetation reaction. It is better to select a sheet for the main damage dealer or the character who most needs attack power. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44–565 Elemental Mastery: 24–110 | Elemental skill damage is increased by 6-12%. When successfully attacking an enemy with an elemental skill, the hero loses 3 units of energy, but at the same time restores 3-5 units of energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. The effect does not trigger more than once every 10 seconds, even when the character is not on the field. | The damage of E-shki Raiden is not very high, and the effect of a passive ability with additional energy will not bring much benefit. However, the spear can still be used for elemental mastery if there are no other options or they are occupied by other characters. |
Best Artifacts
Artifacts for Raiden must be selected based on the key parameter - energy recovery. When choosing secondary stats, focus on the selected Raiden weapon, getting the missing stats: for example, if a spear contains a lot of attack, you should not take a watch and a cup with the same characteristic. In the absence of complete sets, you can give preference to two parts from different sets.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Energy recovery +20% 4 parts: Increases elemental explosion damage by an amount equal to 25% of the amount of energy regeneration. The effect can be increased to a maximum of 75%. | The best set for Raiden, which stands out from the competition. It is worth striving to collect the full set, as it gives the heroine everything she needs: elemental explosion damage and energy. The maximum value of VE that makes sense to collect - 300% (270% if Engulfing Lightning is used), the buff does not go further. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Electro Damage +15%. 4 parts: Increases the damage of the Overload, Charged, Superconductor, and Vegetation reactions by 40%. Aggravate reaction damage is increased by 20%. Activating any of these reactions reduces the cooldown of an elemental skill by 1 second. The effect triggers every 0,8 seconds. | Reducing E-shka cooldown for Raiden will not be beneficial, but increasing the damage from elemental reactions will be useful in Dendro teams. Can be used as a temporary option if the artifacts have a sufficient amount of energy recovery. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Electrical resistance +40%. 4 parts: Increases damage against enemies affected by Electro by 35%. | Option for mono-Electro squads or teams from Sprawl, where enemies maintain a constant Electro status. It only makes sense to collect 4 pieces; the effect of 2 pieces of the set does not increase damage. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Elemental Mastery +80 points. 4 parts: Increases the damage dealt by Budding, Vegetation, and Bloom by 40% on the character equipped with this set. If the carrier causes these reactions on its own, the effect will increase by another 25%. Each summation lasts 10 seconds. The effect stacks up to 4 times, occurs once every 1 seconds, and activates even if the character is not active. | Narrowly targeted recruitment in detachments through the Vegetation. In this case, Raiden is going completely into elemental mastery. If the heroine is used specifically to create projectiles, the set will increase the damage of this reaction and perform well. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Elemental Mastery +80 points. 4 parts: After calling the elemental reaction, the character receives a buff for 8 seconds. For each hero of their element in the squad, they get 14% attack power, and for each owner of a different element - 50 elemental mastery points. The effect works no more than once every 1 seconds and can appear even if the owner of the set is not on the battlefield. | Can be used both for assembly through Vegetation, and for a critical build in the same squad with Dendro heroes. In the second case, you need to find as much energy recovery as possible in the set stats. |
⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases energy recovery rate by 20%. 4 parts: Using an ult restores 2 units. energy to the rest of the squad, except the set wearer, every 2 sec. for 6 sec. | The best option for beginners. You can use either two parts or a complete set. Gives the necessary stat to Raiden and additional energy to her allies. |
Shogun Raiden Units
The best characters for Team Raiden Hydro, Pyro, Electro, Anemo, Geo and Dendro elements. Cryo heroes work with it much worse due to the effect of the elemental reaction between Electro and Cryo (Superconductor), which reduces resistance to physical. damage without benefiting Raiden.
Also an important point when choosing allies is the cost of their ultimates and how much damage they contain. It is better to choose characters who deal significant damage precisely from an explosion of elements, so that Raiden’s ability to restore energy and enhance her ultimates can be realized. Therefore, you should not take those damage dealers whose contribution to the squad’s damage comes through regular or charged attacks or elemental skill damage.
Best characters
When assembling a squad for Raiden, you need to select a sub-deader, a buffer and a character for survival: a healer or a shieldman. Depending on what position Electro Archon is in, a variety of heroes can play with her.
damage dealers
We recommend considering the following characters for the position of main and pocket damage dealers in groups with Raiden.
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
She has an expensive ultimate, so it goes well with Raiden: Electro Archon gives her a lot of energy to activate an elemental explosion on cooldown, and the high cost of Yae Miko’s ultimate allows her to better charge Raiden’s ring, indirectly increasing her damage. | |||
Excellent sub-dd for teams from Stimulation. It will close Electro Resonance and provide good damage from the pocket. | |||
Playing with Raiden allows Xingqiu to gain less energy recovery in artifact stats and take a good legendary sword. 180% VE is enough for a rollback ultimate. | |||
It works on a similar principle to Xingqiu, but has a slightly lower ultimate cost. It also gives a damage bonus that stacks over time, so it also strengthens Raiden. | |||
When an elemental skill is activated, it goes into a stance in which it deals the main damage. Since her cooldown is quite long, Raiden can replace Tartaglia on the field at this time. | |||
It synergizes well with Raiden due to an expensive ult and playing through the Charged reaction. | |||
Requires Electro status to implement a passive talent that increases the damage of a charged attack. In addition, Raiden’s help with energy will be extremely useful if Nevillet does not have a sign and has not accumulated energy recovery in artifacts. | |||
Depending on the build, he acts as a sub-DD or healer. The ultimate activates a buff on team damage, which depends on changes in the number of health points in the squad. | |||
Since both Raiden and Dehya play from a stance, they can replace each other on the battlefield. Dehya's hits while under the influence of her ultimate count as elemental burst damage rather than normal and charged attacks, so the boost from Electro Archon's Circle will affect her. | |||
Has a high elemental explosion cost that deals massive damage. Raiden will not only strengthen Xiangling's main attack button, but will also help her with the activation of her cooldown ult. | |||
Plays from a stance activated by pressing an elemental skill. While the ability is on cooldown, Raiden can enter the battlefield to replenish energy for Hu Tao and her allies. | |||
Grants Pyro the Overload status and also gains a faster cooldown on the Electro Archon's Ultimate abilities. | |||
Will give additional Dendro damage, elemental status and increase elemental mastery if Raiden is on the battlefield. Can be used both to strengthen Electro Archon in the hyper-carry position, and for teams from Vegetation. | |||
Deals the main damage through an explosion of elements; with C4 activated, it increases elemental mastery. A good replacement for Nahida or her addition in teams with Dendro reactions. | |||
Tignari is best revealed through Stimulation, and if there are few Electro heroes on the account that could provide stable Electro status on enemies, Raiden is well suited for this. | |||
Plays well through Stimulation and Vegetation. In a squad with him, if Raiden is the only Electro hero, you can collect her in elemental mastery so that she explodes Dendro cores from Budding. | |||
A physical damage dealer, it is extremely important for him to have an Electro hero in his squad. Combining Electro with Cryo gives the Superconductor status, which reduces resistance to physical damage. | |||
| Deals most of its damage through falling attacks. Since the elemental burst acts as a buff and not a separate strike, the elemental skill will not be able to amplify Xiao's damage. However, help with gaining energy for the ult, especially if Xiao’s stats failed to gain enough VE, is quite important. | ||
Even though Albedo's elemental burst is not his main attack button, Mondstadt Alchemist can still contribute through flower strikes. If you put him in a team with Dendro heroes, then Raiden will receive a good increase in elemental mastery. | |||
Raiden's elemental skill will give enemies a permanent Electro status to trigger a Crystallize reaction, which will cause damage to Navia. |
Sapports
The following heroes are suitable for the role of a support character who provides the team with healing, shields or buffs:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |

Heals and increases damage from Dendro reactions to the active character while the shield is active, and also has an expensive elemental burst. The best support for Dendro squads | |||
Budget replacement for Bai Zhu. Looks best with central Dendro damage dealers, as it strengthens them in constellations, but in a team with hyper-carry, Raiden is also suitable as a healer and support for Dendro status. | |||
Provides a screed, elemental damage buff and elemental inflation. At C2, it will enhance elemental mastery, which is beneficial in teams from Stimulation. | |||
It will give you the most powerful screed in the game, and with the help of a passive skill it will restore energy to all allies. This combination allows you to gain a minimum amount of energy restoration in artifacts and makes the game very comfortable. | |||
| Can heal and reduce enemy resistance with the set emerald shadow Simultaneously. | ||
| Lan Yan can play as a full-fledged shielder or as a driver whose abilities combine with Raiden's elemental skill. In addition, Lan Yan should activate her ult more often, which is helped by Electro Archon. | ||
Will increase attack power, close Electro resonance and increase crit. Damage to Electro elements with C6. For maximum gaming comfort, it is advisable to open at least the second constellation. | |||
A healer whose healing scales with HP and elemental mastery. Suitable for commands from Stimulation. | |||
One of the best supports for Raiden. Will give increased attack power and healing. | |||
Suitable for units from Overload. Will reduce the elemental resistance of enemies and increase Raiden's Electro damage. | |||
Provides the team with good protection and cuts all elemental and physical resists of enemies by 20%. Can wear a set archaic stone, to pick up Electro crystals and buff Raiden for this type of damage. | |||
Since Mona has rather weak damage in units from Charged, she acts more as a buffer for Raiden than as a sub-deader. A permanent ult buff will significantly increase Electro Archon's damage. | |||
Gives Hydro status and permanent healing. Can wear Dragon Slayer Epicto buff Raiden's attack power. | |||
Heals and provides the team with a shield. Due to the low amount of Cryo status, it can be used in Dendro squads with C6 for the sake of a buff on elemental mastery. | |||
Heals the active character from damage received with an elemental explosion and applies debuffs to enemies and buffs to allies. | |||
While Raiden rarely plays E-only outside of Bud units, it can be used with Mizuki if there are no other pocket damage dealers of this element at all. |
Top Teams
Let's talk about the best units with Raiden, dividing them into two categories.
Standard units
Teams in which the heroine is in the position of hyper-carry or driver. In them, she does not need elemental mastery, and when assembling Raiden, the emphasis should be on energy recovery, attack power and crits.

The national squad, which is still not inferior in damage and helps to close any content (including the 12th floor of the Abyss). The principle of this command is that Xiangling, Xingqiu/Ye Lan and Bennet use elemental explosions that work outside the battlefield. After that, Raiden comes out and hits under the ult, activating the reactions Overload, Steam, Charged, while charging the team with energy. | ||||
The most powerful unit from Overload. Works best against bosses, although if there aren't a lot of enemies, the Chevreuse Screed can reassemble the enemies. Chevreuse cuts off enemies' Electro and Pyro resistance and gives a buff to elemental damage. Bennet and Sarah further increase their attack. | ||||
Sarah provides an attack damage buff, and at C6 increases Electro critical damage. Kazuha provides an elemental damage bonus, dispels, and also deals damage of his own. Bennett provides the strongest attack damage buff in the game, healing, and also gives Kazuha the ability to absorb Pyro into his ult. Kazuha can be replaced with Shilonen. Raiden supports the team, increasing energy recovery rate and dealing the main damage. | ||||
Sucrose's elemental blast absorption can be erratic, but if she absorbs Pyro, she can inflict Overload, and if she absorbs Electro, she has the ability to provide an Electro damage buff if she is C6. Fischl deals skill damage outside of the field and generates additional Electro particles. Bennet buffs and serves as a healer. Raiden insures the team and deals damage under the ult. | ||||
Yae deals powerful burst damage when activating her ult and off-field, and serves as an additional source of energy particles. Sarah increases attack power, and at C6 provides a buff to Electro critical damage. Djinn dispels and heals, and can be swapped out for Shilonen. All three members of the team have high ult costs, with Yae tied with Raiden for the highest ult cost in the game, allowing the latter to stack Resolve fairly easily. Shogun not only charges the team, but also increases their elemental burst damage. | ||||
Group with Ayato via Charged. Raiden gives Electro off-field status to trigger reactions from Ayato's normal attacks during an elemental skill. The second Hydro deals additional damage and activates Hydro Resonance, granting 25% HP. You can put any buffer or healer on the last slot. | ||||
Group with Tartaglia via Charged. Raiden similarly helps drive the reaction. Fischl closes Electro Resonance and grants additional Electro status and damage. Bennet heals and increases attack power. | ||||
Lisa reduces the defense of enemies by 15% with the passive talent Electric Field Strength. She can also deal some damage with her ult. Venti dispels, grants recovery bonuses through the passive, and deals significant personal damage with an elemental burst. Kokomi allows you to trigger the Charged reaction, provides healing, and can use either clam set for additional damage outside the field, or Tenacity of the Millelith for an attack power buff. Raiden recharges his team, increases their ult damage, along with Lisa, provides an Electro staus for Venti and deals his own damage on the field. | ||||
The duo team of Eola and Raiden, where Electro Archon launches the Superconductor and charges the elemental blasts of Eola and Shen He or Rosaria. You can use any Cryo or Electro support as a healer. | ||||
Squad from a combination of Steam, Overload and Charged. Due to the fact that enemies can maintain Hydro and Electro status at the same time, Hu Tao will be able to close several reactions at the same time. | ||||
Team with Navia and Geo Resonance. The damage from the ult of the head of Spina di Rosula is not too great, and Electro Archon is needed more for Electro status in order to cause Crystallization and activate Navia’s passive ability. If you use Kokomi, then take Albedo as the second Geo hero, and vice versa: in the case of Xingqiu, the team should be protected by Zhongli. |
Dendro detachments
In such teams, Raiden either deals increased damage through the Sprawl reaction, or completely goes into elemental mastery and plays together with Dendro and Hydro damage dealers, exploding Dendro cores with E-shki ticks.

Squad through Escalation with Nahida and the shortest possible activation interval of Purify Trikarma (elemental skill) and increased damage from Electro. Raiden during the whole stance will be able to activate the reaction due to the strong Dendro status. Kazuha pulls in enemies, dispels Electro, and grants a bonus elemental damage to the team. | ||||
The dear squad, consisting of Archons, relies on the reactions of Vegetation and Stimulation. Raiden acts as the main DD of the team, Nahida and Furina are sub-DDs, applicators and buffers. Zhongli reduces enemies' resistance to elemental damage and generates shields. | ||||
Team with Dendro and Electro resonances. Raiden in such a squad is going to build through maximum attack and crits. There is no need to look for elemental mastery in artifacts, since it can be sufficiently gained through Nahida’s buff and the Dendro resonance effect. | ||||
A team with hyper-carry Raiden, whose damage is enhanced through the Sprawl reaction. Kazuha or Sucrose inflate the Electro status of enemies and pull them into a heap, Nahida increases elemental mastery through her ult and adds additional damage. Bennett strengthens the attack and heals the squad. | ||||
Squad through the Vegetation, where Ye Lan and Kokomi, with the help of Nahida's Dendro status, create nuclei. Raiden, in turn, turns them into projectiles. In this case, the Shogun is assembled through Elemental Mastery. | ||||
Al-Haitham and Hydro sub-dd create Dendro cores, which Raiden, collected in elemental mastery, explodes. For the fourth slot, you can take any elemental support Hydro or Dendro, ensuring the survivability of the squad. |
Free squads
Raiden groups of completely free characters.

Raiden does most of his damage while on the battlefield. Xiangling and Kaya act as secondary damage dealers through their ultimate, which Raiden helps activate through energy recovery. Barbara has an attack buff through a catalyst. Dragon Slayer Epic. | ||||
Squad with hyper-carry Raiden through Sprawl. Lynette inflates Electro from enemies and increases attack power, Colley provides Dendro with the status to carry out a reaction. Barbara or Noelle protects the party. | ||||
Almost mono-Electro squad. Raiden helps Lisa with activating an expensive ultimate, and then she hits enemies with reduced defense. Lynette reduces enemy resistance to Electro. |
How to play Shogun Raiden
Raiden deals the main damage in a stance, which he activates with an explosion of elements. For each blow in this state, she restores some of the energy to herself and her allies, while doing a lot of damage. The damage from an elemental explosion is not fixed, but depends on the accumulated stacks of Resolve. Their number can be determined by the glowing part of the circle, which is created by an elemental skill.
To gain stacks, you need to activate the ultimates of your allies. Ideally, the circle should glow completely, but this is guaranteed to be realized only if there is C1 and characters with very expensive elemental explosions in the squad. In general, for decent damage it is enough to illuminate 3/4 of the circle. However, the more stacks, the greater the damage from the Raiden elemental explosion.
Rotation
Since Raiden must first accumulate stacks and replenish energy to allies after activating her elemental burst, her ultimate should always be activated last in the squad. Otherwise, the energy will go to nowhere, and the damage will leave much to be desired. Example universal skill activations:
- Use elemental skill and switch to other characters.
- Generate stacks of Resolve by using allied elemental bursts.
- As soon as you gain more than half or all of your Resolve stacks, use Raiden's ultimate.
- Attack her with blows until the elemental explosion expires.
- Repeat from step 1.
Video demonstration of rotation in the squad: Raiden, Xiangling, Kazuha, Bennett.
In case you play Raiden through vegetation, then it is enough to simply activate the E-shka periodically to maintain it in an active state. In squads where she is grouped into elemental mastery and simply explodes Dendro cores, her ultimate may not even be used unless there is a great need for it.
Сonclusion
Shogun Raiden in Genshin Impact is a fairly flexible and strong Electro character who can act in many roles. It fits perfectly into most builds and allows teams to open up in a new way, increasing the damage of their elemental explosions and providing an increase in energy recovery. The only significant drawback is that she can steal reactions using an elemental skill. However, if rotations are observed and the squad is selected correctly, all its disadvantages are completely leveled out.
