Yanfei's abilities
Almost all of Yanfei's skills are somehow related to dealing Pyro damage, since she is the owner of the catalyst. At the same time, for the maximum realization of her attacking abilities, she needs to gain stacks (seals). Getting a certain number of seals allows you to deal fire damage in an area. Next, we will analyze in detail how all the abilities of Yanfei work.
Basic skills (active skills)
- Red Seal (Normal, Charged, Fall Attack)
Yanfei uses his Catalyst to fire up to 3 fireballs that deal Pyro damage.
On hitting enemies, these attacks grant the character Crimson Seal. In total, you can collect up to 3 seals. The duration of existing charges is updated when a new one is received. The effect of receiving is to reduce the cost of the heroine's stamina. All seals disappear after character change.
When activated charged attack Consuming all seals, dealing Pyro damage in an area. The amount of damage and area of effect increases in proportion to the number of seals expended. At air attack Yanfei deals damage to all enemies in his path. On impact with the ground, creates an area of AoE Pyro damage.
- Signed Decree (Elemental Skill)
Cooldown time: 9 seconds.
Yanfei sets fire to the area in front of him. When hitting an enemy, gains the maximum number of Crimson Seals.
- On the hands (explosion of the elements)
Duration: 15 seconds.
Cooldown time: 20 seconds.
Energy consumption: 80 units.
Summons a flame that rushes at nearby enemies, dealing AoE damage to Pyro. Yanfei gains the maximum number of seals and the Glitter effect. This buff periodically adds a new seal to the existing ones, and also increases the damage of charged attacks. The effect ends if the character dies or leaves the battlefield.
The order of leveling abilities
When increasing the level of talents, we recommend pumping them in the following order:
- Normal attacks. Yanfei uses them most of the time, releasing the accumulated seals at enemies with charged attacks and dealing high damage.
- Explosion of the elements. The second most important skill that should be improved in parallel with auto-attacks. The skill gives all seals at once and a glitter effect that increases the damage of charged hits.
- Elemental Skill. Lastly, we raise the E-shku. The ability is also strong and useful, somewhat reminiscent of an ult, but with less functionality.
Passive skills
Talent | When does it open | What gives |
---|---|---|
Encyclopedic Expertise | Base | Marks Li Yue's curiosities on the mini-map. |
Proviso | 2nd Ascension Phase | When consuming the Crimson Seal with Charged Attacks, Yanfei gains a +5% Pyro Damage bonus for 6 seconds. Each new effect replaces the previous one. |
Blazing Eye | 4nd Ascension Phase | Critical hits with a charged attack deal an additional AoE damage equal to 80% of the initial hit's Pyro damage. This damage counts as charged attack damage. |
Sozvezdie
The best constellations of Yanfei are - С1, С4 и С6:
- The first constellation helps to partially solve the problem with wasting stamina from charged attacks, while increasing interrupt resistance. This will allow you to attack and dodge much more actively.
- The fourth allows Yanfei to prove herself in a support role, as after using her ult, she creates a shield. Its durability increases depending on the HP of the heroine, so getting extra sub-stats in health will not be so bad.
- The sixth constellation increases the maximum number of Crimson Seals from 3 to 4, which also increases the overall DPS.
number | Name | Materials |
---|---|---|
1 | The Law Knows No Kindness | Charged attacks that consume Crimson Seal are more resistant to interruption and require 10% less stamina. |
2 | Right of Final Interpretation | Critical Chance +20% when fighting enemies below 50% health. |
3 | Samadhi Fire-Forged | Lv. Signed Decree +3 (Max 15) |
4 | Supreme Amnesty | Using the Deal talent grants a shield that absorbs damage equal to 15% of Yanfei's maximum health for 45 seconds. Pyro damage absorption is 250% more effective. |
5 | Abiding Affidavit | Lv. Deal +3 (Max 15) |
6 | Extra Clause | The maximum number of Crimson Seals is +1. |
Advantages and disadvantages of Yanfei
By sorting out Yanfei's skills, constellations, and talents, one can draw general conclusions about her strengths and weaknesses.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Handy character at the start of the game. At the same time, it is also useful for more experienced players due to high damage, despite the 4-star rarity. | Low base level of HP (taking into account the talent that depends on this value, it is necessary to pump this parameter). |
Consistent area damage and fast cooldowns. | Charged attacks can be interrupted by enemies. This is partly solved by the 1st constellation, which increases the resistance to interruption. |
Good attack range, allowing you to deal damage from a safe distance and easily hit hard-to-reach targets, such as Ghosts. | All abilities are aimed at dealing damage, therefore she is only effective as an attacking character (there are no support functions, except for the shield on C4). |
The constant imposition of the Pyro status on opponents makes it easy to activate reactions. | Using charged attacks consumes a large amount of stamina without the 6th constellation. |
Predisposition to excellent dynamics in battle (seals reduce the overall consumption of stamina, including for sprints). | |
The ability to apply a shield when receiving the 4th constellation. | |
It does not require large investments in pumping or equipment. Works great with F2P or epic catalysts. |
Leveling Yanfei
In this paragraph, we will analyze in detail what components are required to pump Yanfei to the maximum level.
Elevation
The following table lists the full details of Yanfei's Ascension Ingredients and Special Materials:

We recommend that you use Genshin Impact Calculatorto calculate the required amount of resources.
Best builds for Yanfei in Genshin Impact
The gameplay of Yanfei is dynamic, but rather monotonous. She relies heavily on her charged attacks, but prefers to be on the battlefield most of the time and deal damage by combining abilities with auto-attacks. Therefore, when selecting weapons and artifacts, you should rely on these mechanics.
Recommended characteristic values
First of all, the legal specialist is a damage dealer, although on C4 it can be used as a sup-dd that provides the squad with a shield. In the latter case, in addition to the standard damage set (attack, crits, elemental damage), she will also need to look for HP in sub-stats in order to increase the strength of the shield.
Yanfei's build may differ depending on which unit it is used in:
- Classic DPS build through Steam and Melt. In this case, the formation is quite ordinary - you need crits, attack power and mastery of the elements.
- Driver build through Overload, Burn and Bloom. Given that these are second-order reactions, only elemental mastery and character level affect damage dealt.
Classic build (Pyro DPS)
Stats to look for in artifacts to boost your own damage through the Vapor and Melt reactions:
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Attack Power % Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % | |
Attack Power (Permanent) | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Attack Power % Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % | |
Attack Power / Elemental Mastery | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % | |
Pyro Damage Bonus | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Attack Power % Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % | |
Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Attack Power % Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % |
Optimal stat values:
- ATK: from 2000 units and above.
- Chance of crit and crit. damage: ratio 1:2 (60 ksh and 120 ku).
- Energy recovery: from 170% and above.
- Elemental MasteryA: about 250-300 units.
Elemental mastery build (driver)
Characteristics for a squad based on interaction with Electro, Dendro and Hydro:
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % HP% HP (flat) | |
Attack Power (Permanent) | Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % HP% HP (flat) | |
Elemental Mastery | Energy Recovery % HP% HP (flat) | |
Elemental Mastery / Pyro Damage Bonus | Elemental Mastery Energy Recovery % HP% HP (flat) | |
Elemental Mastery | Energy Recovery % HP% HP (flat) |
Optimal stat values:
- Energy recovery: from 170% and above.
- Elemental MasteryA: about 500-700 units.
Best weapon
Almost all of Yanfei's weapons are aimed at increasing the damage of elemental abilities and charged/normal attacks. At the same time, depending on the assembly, it is recommended to focus on either crits / attack, or elemental mastery.
Classic build (Pyro DPS)
If Yanfei is used as the main DD and causes 1st order reactions, the following catalysts will suit her:
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44-542 Critical Damage 19.2%-88,2% | Increases HP by 16-32%. When a character's current HP increases or decreases, the damage of the charged attack increases by 14-30% for 4 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times and occurs no more than once every 1 sec. When gaining 0,3 levels or updating time, the duration of 3 levels is restored 8-12 units energy. Energy can be restored in this way once every 1 sec. | The high critical damage rating is a big bonus for Pyro dd, and the additional health multiplier strengthens Yanfei's C4 shield. Gameplay for the heroine involves playing with the active use of charged attacks, but to activate the passive you will have to follow a rotation. Equipping a weapon requires the presence of a healer in the squad and constant health dynamics: its reduction or healing. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 46-608 Critical Hit Chance 7,2-33,1% | Increases movement speed by 10%. During combat every 4 seconds gives 8-16% elemental damage bonus, stacking up to 4 times and ending when the character dies or leaves the battlefield. | The character needs to be on the battlefield for a long time due to the gameplay, which, combined with the crit chance in the main stat, makes this catalyst one of the best. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 46-608 Critical Damage 14,4-66,2 | Using an elemental skill grants the character equipped with this weapon the Kagura Dance effect, which increases the damage of their elemental skill by 12%-24%. This effect lasts for 16 seconds. and can stack up to 3 times. At 3rd level of the effect, the character gains 12%-24% bonus damage to all elements. | By using the skill twice during the same rotation, Yanfei can get stacks by the start of the second rotation. But even without the maximum number of levels, the Kagura is a valuable weapon with a high crit rate. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 48-674 ATK 7,2-33,1% | Increases elemental damage bonus by 12-24%. When hit with a normal attack, there is a 50% chance to gain a blessing of the clouds that attacks nearby enemies for 15 seconds and inflicts 160-320% attacks. May occur once every 30 seconds. | Atlas lags slightly behind the above books due to lack of crit damage or crit. chance, which are harder to balance, while the attack can be in excess. However, it is still a powerful weapon, giving elemental damage and an increase in ATK without any conditions. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 48-674 Critical Chance 4,8-22,1% | Increases attack power by 16-32%. When a character's current HP increases or decreases, for 4 sec. Normal attack damage increases by 16-32%, and a charged attack - by 14-28%. The effect stacks up to 3 times and occurs no more than once every 1 sec. When an equipped character gains 0,3 levels, attack speed increases by 3%. | The catalyst has a high base, critical. chance and additional attack power. Given the mechanics of the Seals, the weapon is well suited for the character, however, as in the case of the Rite of Eternal Flow, in order to implement the passive effect, you need to maintain a certain rotation with the healer. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 48-674 ATK 7,2-33,1% | Increases shield strength by 20%-40%. On hit, increases attack power by 4%-8% within 8 sec. The effect can stack up to 5 times and occur every 0.3 seconds. In addition, while protected by a shield, the attack power bonus of this effect is increased by 100%. | Provides a huge increase in attack, which brings with it the same problem as the atlas. A feature of the catalyst is the fact that it only works if there is a shield. For this reason, it goes well with the 4th constellation of the heroine. However, the shield can also be obtained from the outside with the help of supports. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic Attack 42-510 Critical Damage 12%-55,1% | When switching to a character, a random melody plays for 10 seconds. The effect works every 30 seconds:
| A unique catalyst for the main DD, all the bonuses of which will be useful to Yanfei in one way or another. Especially if she is playing through Steam or Melt, as in this case all 3 stats become important. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 48-674 Critical Damage 9,6%-44,1% | Increases normal attack speed by 10%-20%. After activating an elemental skill, normal attack damage is increased by 4,8%-9,6% in sec. within 14 sec. While this effect is active, each hit on an enemy instantly increases the damage of a normal attack by 9,6%-19,2% once every 0,3 sec. While one such effect is active, normal attack damage can be increased by up to 48%-96%. The effect will be removed if the character leaves the battlefield, and reactivating the elemental skill will reset the damage increase. | Forces you to play only through normal attacks. Although this is not a big problem, since the rotation uses regular hits mixed with charged ones. It is worth noting that the skill should not be activated immediately after the cooldown, since its cooldown is 9 seconds, and the passive cannot be updated for another 5 seconds, so as not to reset the bonus. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base damage: 41-454 Attack Power: 12%-55,1% | Normal attack hits make charged attacks on 16%-32% stronger for 6 seconds, and charged attacks in turn increase attack power by 8%-16% for 6 seconds. | A very powerful weapon that was given out for free in patch 1.6 (now unobtainable). Perfectly synergizes with the gameplay of the character. If all of the listed catalysts are missing, Dodoko can be used, especially if it is the 5th awakening. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-565 Attack Power: 6%-27,6% | Activating an elemental skill increases the damage bonus of all elements by 8-16% for 15 sec. and imposes Life Debt equal to 24% of max. HP. The effect can occur once every 10 seconds. When Life Debt is removed, bonus damage with all elements for 15 sec. increases by 2-4% for every 1000 units given. Life Debt HP. The all-element damage bonus gained this way cannot exceed 12-24%. | The most powerful option among free catalysts. For character attack power - the most important characteristic, and she uses the elemental skill relatively often. There will be no problems with activation, but due to the low HP base, she will not be able to get the maximum increase. It’s also worth considering that Yanfei’s ability cools down for 9 seconds, and the catalyst’s passive - 10 |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-565 Energy recovery: 6.7%-30.6% | Within 6 sec. After hitting an enemy with a normal or charged attack, the damage of the normal attack will increase by 8-16%, and the damage of a charged attack is by 6-12%. The effect can stack up to 3 times and occurs once every 0,3 sec. | The passive ability is similar to the effects of Dodoko's stories. Unlike the mentioned catalyst, the Song of Vast Azure does not raise attack power, but energy recovery, so it loses in damage, but helps with charging an expensive elemental explosion. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic Attack 42-510 Critical Hit Chance 6%-27,6% | Hits with a normal attack increase the damage of elemental skills and elemental explosion by 20-40% within 6 sec. Conversely, hits with elemental skills and elemental explosion increase the damage of a normal attack by 20-40% within 6 sec. | Weapons from Battle Pass. An alternative option that is worth taking if you are actively using Yanfei as your main damage dealer. Although the second bonus is not as useful due to the buff for normal attacks, on R5 the Pearl wins in the damage of the Dodoko of the last awakening. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base damage: 44-565 Attack Power: 6-27,6% | Using an elemental skill increases energy recovery by 24%-48% within 10 sec. | Received for free in patch 2.5 (not currently obtainable). Allows you not to sag in energy and ult much more actively, while increasing attack power. In general, weapons don't do much specifically for Yanfei, but if they're in the Awakening inventory, they can be used effectively. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 42-510 Elemental Mastery 36-165 | Every 10 seconds increases the attack power of the active character by 24%-48% from his MS for 12 sec. Nearby party members receive 30% of this bonus. The effect of multiple weapons stacks and triggers even if the equipped character is not on the battlefield. | Increases attack power based on elemental mastery. In addition, passively provides the unit with an attack buff. The only downside is that Yanfei doesn't put a lot of emphasis on MC when playing through Steam/Melting, so the gain will be small. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base damage: 42-510 Crete. damage: 12%-55,1% | When killing enemies, increases attack power by 12%-24% up to a maximum of 3 stacks. The effect lasts 30 seconds. | With all the stacks, the weapon is extremely powerful. However, this is not a very reliable option, since without the passive effect triggering, it is just a crit book. |
Elemental mastery build (driver)
To create reactions of the 2nd order (Overload, Burn and Bloom), it is recommended to use the following weapons:
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 44-542 Elemental Mastery: 58-265 | Increases Elemental Mastery by 100-200 unit When the wearer creates a shield, once every 14 sec. the Mirror of Night effect is activated for 15 sec.: the active character's damage is increased by 28%-56%. | A great option if Yanfei has a fourth const unlocked. This will give her the ability to buff herself, and the elemental mastery in the sub-stat will increase the damage from reactions. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44-542 Elemental Mastery 58-265 |
| Increases elemental mastery in the main stat and for each Pyro character, and also gives a bonus fire damage for heroes of other elements. In addition, it increases the MC of the rest of the team members. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 41-454 Elemental Mastery 48-221 | Hitting an enemy with an elemental skill with a chance of 40-80% can instantly reset the cooldown of this ability. The effect works every 30-16 seconds. | Makes it easier to gain elemental mastery and allows you to periodically cool down E-shka, giving more energy. However, the cooldown for resetting the elemental skill is too long, so it does not significantly affect the gameplay. Nevertheless, in terms of the number of MS, weapons are top 2. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 44–565 Elemental Mastery 24-110 | After invoking an elemental reaction for 10 sec. increases the elemental damage bonus by 8-16%. Stacks up to 2 times. | Crafted weapon with a good passive for a bonus to elemental damage. However, for the maximum implementation, it is required to call the reaction every 10 seconds. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 38-354 Elemental Mastery 41-187 | Increases by 12%-24% damage against enemies affected by Hydro or Electro elements. | An excellent 3-star weapon that provides a high increase in MS. In addition, in the assembly through the reactions of the 2nd order, low basic attack is uncritical. Recommended when playing through Bloom or Overload. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base damage: 42-510 Energy recovery: 10%-45,9% | When triggering an elemental reaction, a Growth and Decline buff appears, which increases mastery of the elements on 24-36 units, but reduces attack power by 5%. The effect stacks up to 5 times. The counter works no more than 1 time in 0,3 seconds. If no elemental reactions are triggered within 6 seconds, 1 level of the buff is lost. The effect works even if the character with the catalyst is not on the battlefield. | Good crafting weapon from Sumeru. Although the character doesn't require that much energy regeneration, the catalyst, as a passive effect, increases the MC to 120% when triggering a reaction (on R1 at 5 stacks), which is pretty good. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base damage: 44-565 Energy recovery: 6,7%-30,6% | When a character equipped with this weapon triggers an Electro reaction, all nearby party members whose element matches that reaction gain a 10-20% damage bonus to their element for 6 seconds. Bonuses do not stack. | Not a bad, but situational option through Overload. In this case, the character will have to sacrifice personal damage to increase the Electro damage of allies. On the plus side, weapons are completely free and can be crafted. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base damage: 39-401 HP: 7,7%-35,2% | When switched, increases the attack power of the character that enters the battlefield by 24%-48% for 10 seconds This effect can occur every 20 seconds. | In special situations, when Yanfei has the 4th constellation, she can act as a sup-dd to cast a shield. Since it scales from HP, the catalyst will make it stronger. At the same time, the heroine herself will buff the attack power of the next character (after the change). |
Best Artifacts
When selecting artifacts for Yanfei, it is recommended to focus on what effect you want to achieve from the character and in which squad it is used. In this case, there is no separation, since the main part of the sets (except those for attack power) are equally suitable for both builds.
Name | Effects | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases Pyro damage by 15%. 4 parts: Damage of Overload, Burning and Blooming statuses +40%, and Vapor and Melting +15%. Using an elemental skill increases the effect of a 2-piece set by 50% for 10 seconds. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | Universal set for any Pyro dd. Increases the damage of all reactions when hit by a fire element, while using an elemental ability provides an additional buff for 10 seconds. (Yanfei's e-skill has a cooldown of 9 seconds). |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4 parts: For 8 sec. after calling an elemental reaction, depending on the elements of the allied heroes in the squad, the equipped character receives the following buffs:
| Another fairly versatile kit, suitable for any reaction. For Steam and Melt, a bonus to attack power will be useful (if you have a second Pyro). At the same time, a full set also gives a huge increase in elemental mastery, which is relevant for both reactions of the 1st and 2nd order. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4 parts: Increases the damage of a charged attack by 35% if the character uses a catalyst or ranged weapons. | A set that increases Elemental Mastery and Charged Strike Damage, which plays an important role in character rotation, regardless of the build chosen. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases shield strength by 35%. 4 parts: While protected by a shield, increases normal and charged attack damage by 40%. | It only works if you have a shield, which can be obtained from both supports and the 4th constellation of Yanfei. The resulting bonus will boost normal and charged attacks quite a lot. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 18% 4 parts: When using an elemental skill on a character with 15 or more energy, 15 energy is removed from them, but damage from normal, charged and falling attacks is increased by 50% for 10 seconds. | A full set does not allow you to ult often, as it takes energy. More situational than Ensemble, but overall damage increase is higher. If you're willing to sacrifice elemental blast and/or don't use Yanfei as a shield, a set is a good choice. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Normal and charged attacks are 15% stronger. 4 parts: These hits gain an additional +25% damage for 8 seconds when using an elemental skill. | A great option to start the game (up to 40-45 adventure rank or getting 4-star artifacts discussed above). Increases the damage of all types of attacks. |
Squads for Yanfei
Yanfei excels when interacting with Hydro, Cryo, Electro and Dendro characters. Since she acts as a main damage dealer (at least until she gets C4), she should pick up supports that have out-of-battle damage abilities so that the heroine can trigger reactions.
Best characters
Heroes suitable for Yanfei build:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
Very strong Anemo support. Reduces resistances, has a chic screed, floods the elemental bonus to attack. Especially useful in the open world, as it allows you to fly farther and clear most of the enemy spots simply by long pressing the skill (provided that the enemy has a Dispel status). | |||
The second great Anemo support. However, it fills allies with elemental mastery, which in some situations and builds can be even better than the elemental bonus. | |||
Anemo support and healer. Has good control. In the ultimate, it has the property of a super-overlay of the scattered element - i.e. while the enemy is in the zone of the explosion of the elements, he will constantly be superimposed on the dispelled ult status. | |||
4* Genie version. The presence of a two-hander, the skill of fast movement and a passive that masks from various living creatures make it more useful when exploring Teyvat. | |||
Powerful shield and control. Reduces the elemental and physical resistance of enemies. | |||
Buffs a normal burst attack. Despite the fact that it is not the mainstay of Yanfei's gameplay, it is used in any rotation in one way or another. | |||
Secondary damage dealer with Geo area damage. Ulta can increase elemental mastery. | |||
One of the strongest sup-dds, provided that the group is not damaged by Electro reactions. Great synergy with Yanfei. Deals a lot of damage even at C0. | |||
Electro Archon. It is both a reactor / applicator and a secondary dd. In addition, it actively fills energy with an elemental explosion. | |||
Good sup-dd. It has a parry mechanic, which allows you to avoid damage in some situations. Ulta helps to apply additional. Electro damage when using normal attacks. | |||
On c2, it gives a buff to attack power easily and quickly. | |||
The best Hydro support even on C0. On C6 - S + character. With equal builds, it will inflict even more damage than Yanfei herself. | |||
Pocket damage healer that depends on HP. The mechanic creates health dynamics in the squad in order to then increase the team’s damage with a superpower. | |||
Xingqiu's alternative. In addition to the active distribution of Hydro status, it increases damage after activating the ultimate ability. | |||
Hydro applicator capable of wearing Dragon Slayer Epic and maintain Hydro status on enemies. Possesses one of the most useful elemental explosions in the game. | |||
Can also be worn The epic of the dragon slayerX. Able to heal, and instantly and all at once. | |||
A more expensive alternative to Barbara. Distributes Hydro status much better than his counterpart and heals more actively. | |||
Increases attack power and heals when using an elemental explosion. Closes the Pyro Resonance. | |||
High damage out of the battlefield, Pyro resonance, buff to attack power (if you pick up Goba's pepper from the elemental skill), reduced resistance to fire. | |||
Suitable for teams consisting of Pyro and Electro characters, where the “Coordinated Vanguard Tactics” talent will work. Reduces enemies' resistance to damage from these two elements, increases the attack power of allies, and deals good damage from her ultimate. | |||
Grants an additional crit chance to the group. Has decent damage. Inflicts cryo status. | |||
Gives out good shields. Healit. Inflicts cryo status. | |||
Has a stronger shield and is much more effective at casting Cryo in an area. | |||
Another cryo heal. Status imposes worse. There are no shields. But hila gives a huge amount. | |||
A great ally to play with Burn or Bloom as it boosts the damage of these reactions. | |||
Casts a shield with an ult and heals. Can deal damage outside of the battlefield. | |||
Free alternative to Nahid. Also a good partner for Dendro's area damage reactions. | |||
Dendro applicator given for passing the 4th floor of the Abyss. | |||
Applies Dendro status from pocket, helping to create reactions. At the same time, it heals with a skill and an elemental explosion. | |||
Provides protection against interruption of charged attacks and enemy strikes with a shield. Can act as a sub-DD. |
Top Teams
Based on the listed characters, the following units can be made for Yanfei:
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bennet buffs and heals the squad. Kazuha or Sucrose dispels, grants bonus elemental damage/elemental mastery, and lowers enemy resistances (when used emerald shadow). | ||||
Squad through Steam with Geo Resonance. Albedo will increase elemental mastery with his ult and deal extra damage, Zhongli will provide a shield. Mona will set Hydro status to create a reaction (can be replaced with Xingqiu). | ||||
If there is no Albedo, you can put Yun Jin. Although Yanfei focuses on charged attacks, she also uses normal attacks, so the buff will not be superfluous. | ||||
Together with Xingqiu, you can put Kandakia, which will increase the damage of normal elemental attacks by 20% and give a little Hydro status. As a shielder, Layla will go well, which on C4 can also enhance normal / charged attacks. | ||||
Squad through Melt + Freeze/Steam. If necessary, the Rosary can be replaced with an additional Hydro applicator. Layla will give a shield and on C4 will increase the damage of normal and charged attacks. | ||||
A team with dual Hydro Resonance. Sitlali reduces resistances to both elements and protects the team by hanging a shield that scales with elemental mastery. | ||||
Detachment through Bloom. Dendro character imposes a status, after which the Hydro heroes create cores that Yanfei detonates. Kokomi/Barbara is healed when needed. In this case, Yanfei is going through elemental mastery. | ||||
Detachment through Burning. Nahida, along with Yao Yao or Bai Zhu, maintain the Dendro status on opponents so that Yanfei will cause a reaction. As support, you can put Bennett for additional. heal, or Xiangling for Pyro damage outside of the battlefield. | ||||
Anemo supports give buffs to Elemental Mastery or El. damage, as well as pulling the cores and opponents in the same area, so that it is convenient for Yanfei to hit them with a charged attack. | ||||
Another build variation for Bloom. In this case, the Dendro status is imposed by Collei. Mona creates buds and at the same time increases all damage dealt with her ult (can be replaced with Barbara). Bennet heals and buffs. | ||||
Mona and Bennet are the two strongest buffers. Along with the increase in elemental mastery and control from Sucrose, Yanfei's damage increases significantly. | ||||
Group under the Melting reaction. We alternate explosions of the elements of Rosaria and Dione, after which we begin to attack with the help of Yanfei. Xiangling helps with damage outside of the battlefield and lowers Pyro resistance by C1. | ||||
Unlike the previous group, there are no shields, but a more powerful heal. In addition, there is Scattering. If the ult is used at the moment of applying Cryo to enemies, it is possible to extend the effect of the status from the explosion of the elements of the Rosaria. | ||||
Infinite Overload. Yanfei works just as well with this reaction as Eimiya. Excellent damage and fast elemental explosion cooldowns. |
How to play Yanfei
The main task of Yanfei is to accumulate Crimson Seals and discharge them on enemy targets, followed by inflicting Area Damage Pyro. Passive talent effects, constellations, and the right weapons and artifacts boost the power of Pyro-charged attacks. However, the low base HP and poor defense set the precedent for either constantly dodging incoming enemy attacks, or using a shield in the squad (if there is no C4).
Main source of damage - a combination of normal attacks (most often 3) and a final charged attack. Each normal poke grants a seal that increases the damage of the charged throw and reduces the amount of stamina required to cast it.
Rotation
Adhere to the following principles when compiling a rotation:
- At the beginning of the battle, always activate buffs and a status source for reactions (Hydro, Electro, Cryo, Dendro or Dispel).
- Then on Yanfei we start with an explosion of the elements, if he is ready. Further charged attack -> elemental skill -> charged attack -> normal attack -> charged attack.
- Elemental skill and ultimate should be used on cooldown, and after them make a charged blow to remove all seals and deal damage in an area.
- If the elemental burst is active, press a charged attack after each normal attack (since during the ult, Yanfei gets stacks much more often). If inactive, then after every third normal.
At the beginning of the rotation, it is more important to use an elemental explosion than a skill, since after it it is more convenient to restore energy with a skill.
Conclusion on the character
Yanfei is a Pyro Catalyst who will go into most teams as a primary DPS. Although it is not so easy to stand out among the variety of damage dealers of this element, it still holds its place as a budgetary, but no less effective permanent damage dealer. Basically, the demand for the heroine is due to the fact that she has a large range of attacks, smooth animation, and is quite comfortable to control.
