The Nevillet Story (biography)
Nevillet in Genshin Impact is a renowned Supreme Judge in Fontaine and beyond. The Traveler first learns about him from the story Nahida. According to her, Hydro Archon, Furina, rarely appears in court, which is why all sessions are conducted by Nevillet himself, an impartial but very fair judge.
He rarely appears in public and keeps his distance from people, however, as Lynette says, he is extremely friendly with the Melusines. It was he who brought representatives of this race to Cour de Fontaine so that they could exist on an equal basis with the rest of the inhabitants. The Gazette of the Seven Kingdoms article also states that Nevillet is the only male Melusine.
The development of Nevillet's story can be found in his quest for legends "Flood. Wounds of the Past".

Nevillet's abilities
Nevillet is the main Hydro damage dealer, specializing in dealing damage with charged attacks. While holding an attack, he creates a Seal that gives him the ability to use a special charged attack that deals damage over time. Elemental Skill Nevilleta deals damage and generates Drops, which speed up the creation of a charged attack. elemental explosion attacks the character in an area and also creates Drops.
Basic skills (active skills)
- Similar to Water (Normal, Charged, Falling Attack)
Deals three Hydro strikes with a normal attack.
Charged attack Investment: Forensic Appraisal creates Seal of Arbitration. The seal is visually highlighted in the form of two blue lines that slowly form circle. In this state, the character can move, change the direction of attack and absorb Source drops.
Each of the Drops speeds up the creation of the Seal and restores Nevillet's HP. They are present on the field for 15 seconds from the moment of creation, and then disappear.
3 collected Drops will instantly activate an attack. If the Seal's creation is interrupted, for example by an enemy, Nevillet performs a normal charged attack. If the Seal is created successfully, performs a charged attack Weighted verdict.
Charged Attack: spends stamina and attacks enemies, dealing Hydro damage in an area.
Charged attack Weighted verdict: releases streams of water that deal Hydro damage in an area in a straight line in front of itself. This attack does not consume stamina and lasts 3 seconds, during which time it produces 8 separate quick strikes. If Nevillet's HP is above 50%, he will continuously lose HP during this attack.
Please note that during her time, Nevillet inflicts Hydro status on everything 4 times. Therefore, the judge is well suited for playing through Par, when he himself reacts according to Piro, but does not perform well in teams where he must apply Hydro for Piro sub-dd.
Plunging Attack: falls to the ground, attacking all opponents on the way. After landing, Hydro deals area damage.
- O tears, I will repay (elemental skill)
Cooldown time: 12 sec.
Source Drop Duration: 15 sec.
Soul Breathing Needle interval: 10 sec.
Creates a Raging Rainstorm, the damage of which depends on Nevillet's HP. The ability attacks Hydro with area damage, and upon impact creates 3 Source Drops. If you collect them at runtime Charged attack Weighted verdict, then Nevillet will restore some of his HP.
Arche: Pneuma – after the Raging Rain, the Soul Breathing Needle is activated, attacking Hydro with pneuma damage.
- O waves, I have returned (explosion of the elements)
Cooldown time: 18 sec.
Energy consumption: 70
Creates a wave that deals Hydro damage in an area proportional to the max. Nevillet's HP. After some time, generates 2 Showers that deal Hydro damage over a smaller area. Also creates 6 Source Drops.
The order of pumping
Since Nevillet deals the main damage from charged attacks, this skill must first be upgraded to level 9-10. Elemental Burst and E-shka have approximately the same usefulness and are only needed to create Source Drops. They also deal good damage, so they should be upgraded evenly, but after attacks from your hand.
Passive skills
You can see a complete list of all skills in the table:
Talent | What gives |
---|---|
Heir of the ancient sea | When a character in the party uses the Steam, Freeze, Charged, Budding, Hydro Dispersal, or Hydro Crystal reactions against an enemy, Nevilleth gains 1 level of Dragon's Past Glory. The effect lasts 30 seconds. and folds up to 3 times. The effect increases the damage of a charged attack: Weighted Verdict by 110%/125%/160% respectively of its initial damage. Dragons' Past Glory levels exist independently of each other. |
Discipline of the supreme referee | For every 1% of your own HP over 30% of max. Nevillet's HP receives a 0,6% bonus to Hydro damage. The bonus received in this way can be up to 30%. |
Gather like waves | Increases the sprint speed of all squad members underwater by 15%. Does not stack with passive talents that provide exactly the same effects. |
Let's highlight two passive talents of Nevillet: "Heir to the Ancient Sea" и "Discipline of the Supreme Arbiter".
Heir of the ancient sea
Description: When a character in the party uses the Steam, Freeze, Charged, Budding, Hydro Dispersal, or Hydro Crystal reactions against an enemy, Nevilleth gains 1 level of Dragon's Past Glory. The effect lasts 30 seconds. and folds up to 3 times. The effect increases the damage of a charged attack: Weighted Verdict by 110%/125%/160% respectively of its initial damage. Dragons' Past Glory levels exist independently of each other.
You can find out the exact number of stacks by rings, which are created above the head of the active character at the time of gaining levels. Depending on the number of activated reactions, the number of rings varies from 1 to 3. It is easy to track your stacks using them in order to know when it is more profitable to use a charged attack. As an additional guide, you can rely on Nevillet's hair and the edges of his robe, which will begin to glow.
The requirements for implementing the Nevillet skill are as follows:
- Creating the same reaction multiple times will not yield multiple stacks. For example, activating Dispel three times will only add one level, even if created by two different Anemo heroes.
- The talent can be activated by any character in the squad, including Nevillet himself. You can first apply Hydro to Electro, Pyro, Cryo or Geo status, and then hit for the judge, and vice versa. However, even in this case, if you perform both options, only 1 stack will be added.
To fully realize your talent, you will also need own auras mobs. For example, if the enemy has his own periodic elemental status, which can be used to perform a Hydro reaction, then it will count. Elemental elements have these properties. slimes, armored crabs with Pyro shield and other monsters. In the screenshot below you can see a set of two stacks without activating the skills of allies, only by attacking Pyro and Electro slimes.
Therefore, against such opponents it is more profitable to take units with Hydro Resonance, since the passive is fully activated in any case, and the buff to HP and healing is not superfluous.
Discipline of the supreme referee
Description: For every 1% of your own HP over 30% of max. Nevillet's HP receives a 0,6% bonus to Hydro damage. The bonus received in this way can be up to 30%.
It is important to understand what this skill means relevant Nevillet's HP amount. That is, the bonus is not permanent and does not operate by default, and the enhancement depends on how full the judge’s health bar is at a particular moment. In progress Charged Attack: Weighted Verdict Nevillet loses HP if he has this stat above 50%, so by the end of the attack the bonus may become minimal.
For this reason, Nevillet feels better with healers, not shield warriors. However, if you don't have any leveled up healers or don't want to use them with Nevillet, don't worry. The loss of the buff is not critical, especially considering Nevillet’s self-healing ability when picking up Drops.
Constellations
The table shows all the constellations:
number | Name | Materials |
---|---|---|
1 | Basis of honor | When Nevilleth enters the battlefield, he gains 1 level of Dragon's Past Glory of the Heir of the Ancient Sea passive talent. Requires unlocking the Heir of the Ancient Sea passive talent. Additionally, while using a charged attack, Imbue: Judicial Assessment, and a charged attack: Weighted Judgment, his interrupt resistance increases. |
2 | The command of the law | Enhances the passive talent Heir of the Ancient Sea: each level of Dragons' Past Glory increases crit. Charged Attack Damage: Weighted Verdict by 14%. The magnification obtained in this way cannot exceed 42%. Requires unlocking the Heir of the Ancient Sea passive talent. |
3 | ancient fiction | Increases the skill level of Like Water by 3. Max. level: 15. |
4 | Compassion Crown | When Nevillet is on the battlefield and receives healing, 1 Source Drop is created. The effect can occur once every 4 seconds. |
5 | Generally recognized contract | Increases the skill level of O Wave, I returned to 3. Max. level: 15. |
6 | Wrathful Retribution | While using a charged attack: Weighted Verdict, Nevillet can absorb Source Drops within a certain radius. Each Drop absorbed increases the duration of the charged attack: Nevillet's Weighted Verdict by 1 sec. Additionally, when hit by a charged attack: Weighted verdict every 2 sec. 2 additional currents will be released, each of which deals Hydro damage equal to 10% of the max. Nevillet's HP. This damage is considered the damage of a charged attack: Weighted Verdict. |
Nevillet's best constellations – С1, С2 и С6.
- The first constellation immediately upon entering battle increases the damage of a charged attack by one stack without activating reactions. Additionally, it increases resistance to interruption, reducing the need for a shieldman. This is quite useful, since Nevillet is quite vulnerable during this attack.
- The second constellation significantly increases Nevillet's damage and changes the effect of his first talent, adding crit. damage as an additional buff.
- The sixth constellation makes it possible to increase the duration of a charged attack depending on the absorbed Source Drops. Also increases Hydro area damage due to two additional area attacks.

Best Nevilleth Builds in Genshin Impact
Fontaine's High Judge is the main damage dealer, dealing damage with his charged attacks. All of his skills depend on his health indicator, and the passive Discipline of the Supreme Arbiter increases Hydro damage from max. HP, which clearly defines its main characteristic. Thus, the Nevillet assembly is directly depends on HP, and in attack power he does not need.
Nevillet's elemental explosion is quite expensive, so he additionally needs energy recovery. Regular use of the ultimate is necessary not so much for damage, but for the constant creation of Drops and smooth rotation with maximum damage.
Recommended characteristic values
In the table you can study the characteristics required for the character:
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | HP% Crete. chance Crete. damage Energy Recovery % | |
Attack Power (Permanent) | HP% Crete. chance Crete. damage Energy Recovery % | |
HP% | Energy Recovery % Crete. chance Crete. damage | |
Hydro Damage Bonus% | HP% Crete. chance Crete. damage Energy Recovery % | |
Crete. chance / crit. damage | HP% Crete. chance / crit. damage Energy recovery% |
Optimal characteristic values:
- ATK: 1000-1400. This stat does not affect Nevillet's damage, so you shouldn't pay attention to its low value.
- HP: about 30-000.
- Energy recovery: 130-145%. If there is a second Hydro in the squad, it is permissible to reduce the threshold to 120% -130%.
- Crete. chance and crit. damage should be in a 1:2 ratio, for example, where at 60% crit. chance is 120% crit. damage.
- Elemental Mastery: 100-160, if you play in squads from the reaction of Par. There is no point in setting a clock on MC, since Nevillet cannot respond to every attack, but strengthening some will have a positive effect on the level.
Also note that Nevillet is one of those heroes who are recommended to download 90 level, rather than just raising the arc from 80 to 90. This is due to the fact that the damage of his abilities comes from HP, and his base value of this stat is very high. By upgrading Nevillet from lvl 80 to 90, you will receive a total increase of 1000+ units. HP.
Best weapon
Weapons for Nevillet must have crits or HP in their main characteristics. Sometimes you can consider catalysts for restoring energy, provided that the passive ability is beneficial. He does not need attack power and elemental mastery, so it is better to abandon such weapons.

---|---|---|
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 44-542 Critical Damage: 19.2-88.2% | Increases HP by 16-32%. When a character's current HP increases or decreases, the damage of the charged attack increases by 14-30% for 4 sec. Energy can be restored in this way once every 1 sec. | Nevillet's signature weapon, fully satisfying his stat needs. Buff crit. damage allows you to completely switch to collecting crit. chance in artifacts. Also significantly increases the damage of a charged attack and restores energy. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 41-454 Critical Chance: 8%-36,8% | If the character is not on the battlefield for more than 5 seconds, max. HP increases by 32%-64%, and mastery of the elements - on 40-80 units After the character enters battle, the effect lasts 10 seconds, after which it disappears. | Excellent 4⭐ catalyst from the Battle Pass, suitable if you don’t have the Nevillet signature. Crete. chance helps balance characteristics. Nevillet is the main damage dealer, but sometimes he goes into the pocket so that supports can come onto the field. This time is enough to activate the weapon's passive. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack: 48-674 Critical Hit Chance: 4,8-22,1% | Increases attack power by 16-32%. When a character's current HP increases or decreases, for 4 sec. Normal attack damage increases by 16-32%, and a charged attack - by 14-28%. The effect stacks up to 3 times and occurs no more than once every 1 sec. When an equipped character gains 0,3 levels, attack speed increases by 3%. | The attack power buff will not be useful to Nevillet, but increasing the damage of charged attacks will do a lot of good. In addition, crit. a chance in stats will help balance stats more easily. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 46-608 HP: 10,8%-49,6% | When an equipped character activates an elemental burst or creates a shield, it will be damaged for 3 seconds. receives the effect of the Willstone: every 2,5 sec. is being restored 4,5-6,5 units energy, and the damage bonus of the corresponding element increases by 0,3%-1,1% for every 1000 units. Max. Character HP, maximum 12%-44%. The effect of the Willstone is activated even if the equipped character is not on the battlefield. | A weapon that gives a lot of extra health to Nevillet. After activating the ult, it increases energy recovery, as well as Hydro damage. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 44-565 Energy recovery: 6.7%-30.6% | Within 6 sec. After hitting an enemy with a normal or charged attack, the damage of the normal attack will increase by 8-16%, and the damage of a charged attack is by 6-12%. The effect can stack up to 3 times and occurs once every 0,3 sec. | Event catalyst available for completing the event in update 4.1. An excellent free weapon that is suitable for Nevillet, but will require you to gain as much HP as possible in artifacts. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 42-510 HP: 9%-41,3% | Within 6 sec. cooldown after using elemental explosion 4-6 units energy every 2 sec., and all squad members restore 4%-6% HP every 2 sec. | Free weapons available through the crafting system. Increases the character's health and also restores energy. It slightly heals the entire squad, which in some situations allows you to do without a healer in the group. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 46 ~ 608 HP: 10.8% ~ 49.6% | Normal attack damage is increased by 1-3% of the character's maximum health. Additionally gives 10-20% healing bonus. After the ult, hitting an enemy with a normal attack restores 0,6 units of energy over 12 seconds. The effect occurs no more than 1 time in 0,1 seconds. | The weapon is suitable due to the HP stat, but due to the increase in healing and the bonus of normal attacks, it will show itself to be worse than other legendary alternatives. Additionally, the energy regeneration effect is difficult to implement on Nevillet since it requires hitting with normal attacks. It is not recommended to specifically knock it out, but you can give it away if there are no other options. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 42-454 Вenergy restoration: 13% -61% | Reduces stamina consumption while swimming by 15%. Additionally, increases Max HP by 20% for 10 sec after using an elemental skill. For each Hydro character in the party, Max HP is further increased by 12%. The maximum increase gained this way is 24%. This effect can occur once every 15 sec. | Nevillette doesn't need a high energy recovery rate, and from Hydro characters, he mainly plays only with Furina. Most other catalysts will be better, but this weapon can be used if there are absolutely no alternatives, and this one has reached full awakening. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 46-608 Critical Chance: 7,2%-33,1% | Increases movement speed by 10%. During the battle gives 8%-16% bonus elemental damage every 4 sec. Can be folded up to 4 times. The effect ends if the character dies or leaves the battle area. | A good weapon that gives crit. chance. Nevillet doesn't need much base attack, but the catalyst passive will provide some benefit. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic Attack: 42-510 Critical Damage: 12%-55,1% | When switching to a character, a random melody plays for 10 seconds. The effect works every 30 seconds:
| A valid option if the artifacts have a lot of crit. chance. However, only 1 note out of 3 is useful for Nevillet (for elemental damage), so the increase from weapons mostly depends on randomness, which is quite inconvenient. However, this option can still be used if there are no alternatives. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic attack: 42-510 Energy recovery: 10%-45,9% | Critical attacks have 60%-100% Chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 health. energy. Occurs once per 12-6 sec. | Gives a lot of energy recovery to Nevillet and the entire squad. This catalyst allows you to focus on more useful characteristics for the character. Ideal for rotation with frequent use of elemental burst. |

Units for Nevillet
Nevillet's Heir of the Ancient Sea passive requires you to trigger 3 different reactions to get the maximum buff to a charged attack. Ideally, Nevillet's detachment should contain, in addition to him, three characters of various elements who will be able to fulfill this requirement. One reaction only gives one stack, so you won't be able to get a bonus by triggering the same reaction three times.
If there is the first constellation, then you can limit yourself two heroes of different elements. However, despite the significant increase at three stacks, you should not assemble a squad based solely on this requirement. Hydro Resonance, healing and buffs are still extremely useful for Nevillet. A team that does not fully fulfill the passive condition, but has good synergy between its allies, will not be inferior in damage to other units.
In addition, Nevillet does not need attack power buffs, which is why it is better to abandon such supports. Also it doesn't work with Xingqiu, Ye Lan и tomoy, since their key abilities are triggered by normal attacks.
Best characters
Let's take a closer look at the characters who can play in a team with Nevillet.
Sub-dd
Damagers that deal damage outside the field:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
An excellent pocket Electro damage dealer that deals damage along with the main damage control. An especially good option if there is a 6th constellation. | |||
Will provide Electro status from the pocket, as well as provide additional protection with parry and shield. | |||
Functionally similar to Fischl. In a squad with Nevillet, most of the damage comes from the E-shki, and not the ult, so there is no great need to recruit a large number energy recovery. | |||
A universal character who is capable of inflicting a lot of damage with his ult, attacking with an E-shock from the pocket, and also helping with energy recovery, which will be very useful, since Nevillet’s ult is expensive. | |||
Another universal sub-deader, which most units cannot do without through reactions. Capable of causing huge damage to Hydro status from Nevillet. It will also help in causing reactions for the passive with the help of Goba if the ult is on cooldown. | |||
Reduces incoming damage, and also attacks Pyro with damage together with the main damage dealer. | |||
Pyro Traveler provides the status for the Steam reaction, as well as an additional element for the implementation of the passive. | |||
Gives a lot of Dendro status and also gives an elemental mastery buff. He is a key character when playing through Dendro Reaction. | |||
A budget pocket Dendro damage dealer that will help in causing reactions. | |||
In teams, through Freeze it is necessary to apply Cryo status from an ult and an elemental skill. | |||
Excellent Cryo sub-dd that increases crit. chance and giving stable elemental status from ult. | |||
Carrier emerald shadow in the squad. Will pull down opponents and also inflate elements to increase damage. | |||
Fulfills the same role as Kazuha, but is also capable of adding elemental skill to the squad. | |||
Will help with energy recovery thanks to a passive talent and will pull enemies together. | |||
Gives Hydro Resonance and also increases damage with Omen. | |||
Pairs well with Nevilette. Characters benefit from Hydro Resonance in the form of increased HP and benefit from the health modification mechanic. Nevilette helps to gain levels of fanfare, and Furina damages from the pocket and buffs damage. | |||
Will provide Geo with the status to implement a passive ability through his dolls. However, it is worth considering that her damage in a team with Nevillet is still not very high, since Geo Resonance is not particularly beneficial for him, and without this it will not be possible to create a second doll. |
Sapports
Support characters who will provide the squad with healing, shields or buffs:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
Universal shield. It will cut resistance to enemies, provide resistance to interruption, and give control over enemies with the help of an ult. | |||
Reduces elemental damage resistance and provides a buff through the set Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City, and also covers the need for treatment. | |||
Hydro healer, giving additional elemental status and resonance to increase HP. | |||
Drops created by the Traveler can also be picked up by the Judge, which can sometimes make it much easier to rotate to activate charged attacks. | |||
One of Tartaglia's passive skills, "Weapon mastery", increases the level of Nevillet's talent "Like a Surface of Water", thereby increasing the damage of a charged attack. | |||
Capable of giving the unit a lot of healing and little resistance to interruption. However, it will be more suitable for teams through Budding, as its buff will only affect Nevillet in Hydro-Dendro squads. | |||
Dendro is a shield warrior that deals additional damage with his ultimate. | |||
Dendro is a healer who will provide elemental status. It will easily help you gain a stack to activate your passive. | |||
An excellent healer who will fit into any squad with Electro reactions. Especially useful in teams through Vegetation. | |||
Sitlali is useful for Nevilleth due to her shield, Hydro Resistance cut, and the ability to activate his passive ability. | |||
She has a very strong shield and is also capable of attacking Cryo from her pocket. At C4 it will be able to increase the damage of charged attacks, increasing Nevillet's damage. | |||
Cryo shield and healer rolled into one. Grants elemental mastery if constellations are present. Due to the small amount of Cryo, Diona can be used in almost any squad. | |||
Applies marks with continuous Cryo damage. Heals with an explosion of elements, and with characters from Fontaine he receives a bonus to this skill. | |||
Lan Yan will not be able to restore shield duration, but needs it due to his vulnerability during charged attacks. Also, due to his passive, it is advisable for him to trigger reactions. |

A team with reactions of Charged, Dispersion and Crystallization, which can gain all 3 stacks of the passive. Nevillette and Fischl/Yae Miko deal the main damage under the support of the character's Anemo. The last slot can be equipped with Zhongli or Shilonen. | ||||
Team with 3 damage dealers. Nevillet deals the main damage on the field, Electro sub-dd attacks from the pocket along with Albedo. The Alchemist buffs his elemental mastery, which has a good effect on the damage from the explosion of Dendro cores and Fischl/Beidou’s own damage. A support to protect the squad must be Dendro in order to strengthen Electro and carry out Stimulation and Vegetation. | ||||
Team from the reaction of Steam, but with full passive ability. Bennett is needed not for the attack buff, but for healing and Pyro status. Kazuha, Djinn or Lan Yan, who should have a lot of energy recovery, transfer fire to the enemy through the activation of their abilities and support it. Only Geo heroes who will not knock down the status are suitable as a support. | ||||
Dear team with 3 Archons. Thanks to the presence of three reactions (Budding, Charged, Crystallization), you will be able to collect all the stacks. At the same time, the squad is perfectly balanced in terms of damage, energy and defense. | ||||
A more budget-friendly unit from Vegetation's reaction, which fully utilizes Nevillet's passive talent. The Judge deals the main damage on the field, while Dendro sub-DD applies Hydro status. Kuki is needed to explode the buds, so he is going completely into Elemental Mastery. Zhongli, Shilonen, or Djinn are needed to cut resistances and provide additional protection, but you can also put Saya or Noelle-support in their place. | ||||
Team through reactions with Pyro and Cryo. Sucrose will dispel the elements and give elemental mastery. Sub-DD will not only cause joint reactions, but also deal additional status damage from Nevillet. Xiangling and Charlotte, if you use them, in this team you need to gain as much energy recovery as possible. | ||||
A group with sub-DD Dehya, which reduces damage and gives a small amount of Pyro status. In general, the squad is more likely to be a team from Vegetation, and Dehya is needed for the sake of the Pyro element and E-shka, which gives resistance to interruption to the active character and additional survivability. | ||||
A unit with reduced damage taken with the help of Dehya and Zhongli. Cryo and Pyro sub-dd not only deal damage from the pocket, but activate the status for all three levels of Nevilette's passive. | ||||
F2P squad for Nevillet from the Vegetation reaction, allowing you to gain all the passive stacks. Dendro Traveler and Lisa cause reactions, Lynette absorbs the elements and inflates them. | ||||
A free unit for Nevillette via Steam, Melt, Freeze, and Crystallize reactions. Kaeya and Xiangling/Pyro MC deal damage from the pocket while Nevillette attacks enemies. Noelle protects the team with a shield and can heal if needed by briefly entering the field. |
Squads for Nevillet with C1/Hydro resonance
The commands listed below are recommended for players who have opened their first constellation on Nevillet. They are also suitable for those who do not seek to fully implement the passive, instead preferring the buff from Hydro Resonance or a more balanced composition.
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
Team with characters from Natlan. Mavuika gives Pyro status and damage boost to the active character, Citlali provides a shield and reduces Hydro and Pyro resistance for Nevilleth, Furina and Pyro Archon. | ||||
Hyper carry unit for Nevillet with Hydro Dispersal and Crystallization. Changing Kazuha to Venti is possible, but the damage will be reduced. It is advisable to wear a set on Zhongli archaic stoneto get a buff on Hydro damage. Mona needs maximum energy recovery for her ultimate on CD. | ||||
Hyper carry option with Tartaglia. Harbinger is needed for Hydro Resonance and the Charged Attack buff through your Weapon Mastery passive. Thanks to him, the level of Nevillet's talent "Like a Surface of Water", which determines the damage of a charged attack, will increase by 1. Kazuha will inflate Hydro and reduce resists, and Zhongli will protect the squad. | ||||
Standard squad via Par reaction. Even though Bennett's buff will not benefit Nevillet, it is still extremely useful for Xiangling and coloring Kazuha's ult or Sucrose into Pyro. Please note an important point: in such units it is not Xiangling who closes the reaction, but Nevillet, so she does not need to collect elemental mastery in her stats. If you have Furina in your character collection, you can replace Bennett for more suitable buffs. | ||||
Group through Freeze and Hydro dispersion reactions. Ganyu in this squad does not use hand attacks, but activates an explosion of elements and a skill. Mona enhances damage and can be worn Dragon Slayer Epic for the sake of Ganyu's buff. Djinn/Saya reduces resistance and heals the team. | ||||
The squad is suitable for those players who were unable to recruit enough energy recovery on Nevillet and have difficulty maintaining rotations. The blobs that the Judge and Hydro Traveler create are identical. As the remaining allies, we recommend taking Electro sub-dd and any support Anemo, Cryo or Geo elements. | ||||
A squad with Hydro Resonance and triggering reactions Charged and Budding to activate Nevillet's passive. As a Dendro character, only a sub-DD with a lot of status and the ability to deal damage without being on the field is suitable. | ||||
Another variation of the unit through reactions with Dendro and Electro, as well as Hydro Resonance. Mona will give a buff and attract the attention of enemies to her E-shka, Dendro will heal the character, and Electro's sub-dd will deal damage with his ult and protect the squad. | ||||
Team with Hydro resonance and Dendro/Electro reactions. The presence of Raiden will not only increase the overall damage, but will also help Nevillet quickly gain his ultimate. | ||||
Team through Budding with Nilu. Nevillet is not a necessary option in it, but such a squad is acceptable if there are no alternatives or you want to play with just such a composition. The equipment in it also corresponds to the classic build. Of the healers, it is better to choose Yao Yao because of the larger number of Dendro, but you can also take Bai Zhu. | ||||
Team with a Geo sub-DD who can wear a set archaic stone and buff Nevillet and Furina by 35% Hydro damage. The Electro Healer will provide the team with survivability and cover Nevillet's passive ability through the Charged reaction. | ||||
Free squad with Hydro Traveler, providing easy drop recruitment. Lisa, Xiangling and Kaya are interchangeable, as they are sub-dds, choose anyone depending on your preferences and battle conditions. Noelle is going to maximum shield density. | ||||
Budget team with Hydro resonance. Xiangling and Kaeya will deal pocket damage and also cause Steam, Melt, and Freeze reactions. Barbara will heal the entire squad and give Nevillet an increase in damage if he has C2. |
How to play as Nevillet
Nevillet is the main damage dealer who is on the battlefield most of the time. Try to use all the buffs of your allies before he enters the battle. His passive gives bonuses to damage after activating reactions, so it's worth doing three different reactions before using Nevillet's charged attack.
Source drops heal Nevilleth and speed up the charging of the Weighted Verdict seal. Use the skill to create three Drops or the ultimate, which gives six Drops at once. Absorb them to activate three charged attacks in a row.
Rotation
Nevillet's rotations depend on the composition of the teams (how long the buffs last) and the value of energy recovery. In general, we can distinguish between long and short rotations. We will tell you about each of them in detail and advise which one to follow in different squads and situations.
Long rotation
E (elemental skill) > Q (elemental explosion) > 3 charged attacks Weighted verdict > E (elemental skill) > charged attack Weighted verdict.
This is a very advantageous sequence of actions, which, however, is not suitable for all teams, since it requires supports with long abilities. Its full execution takes about 14 seconds, and most hero buffs last 8-10. For example, strengthening Kazuhi lasts 8 seconds, and the buff Monks outside of commands from Freeze is 5 sec. Find out the duration of your heroes' abilities to see if they can provide Nevillet with buffs for the duration.
In addition, she requires a higher energy recovery rate in order to activate the judge's abilities in time. If you were unable to achieve a high level of this stat in artifacts, weapons from the Favonia series on supports or using Hydro Traveler.
Nevillet's long rotation looks like this:
- Activate your supports' abilities to distribute buffs and trigger reactions. If they require a Hydro Element, hit the enemies with Nevillet's normal attack first. For example, this way you can immediately gain one stack and at the same time cut off enemy resistance to Hydro at the expense of the Anemo character with the set emerald shadow.
- Switch to Nevilleth and, if necessary, activate elemental reactions for him to gain stacks.
- Use skill Nevillet and activate elemental explosion. Then pick up the Drops and complete charged attack Weighted verdict three times.
- Use again skill и charged attack Weighted verdict.
- Repeat the rotation from the first point. Don't forget that Nevillet's passive ability stacks last 30 seconds, so you shouldn't waste money on activating them prematurely.
Short rotation
E (elemental skill) > charged attack Weighted verdict > Q (elemental explosion) > charged attack Weighted verdict > switching to supports and updating buffs > charged attack Weighted verdict > E (elemental skill) > charged attack Weighted verdict.
This rotation is much better suited for units with short-lived buffs and weapons Sacrificial Jade. In it, Nevillet is not present on the field so much of the time, which allows you to update boosts from your allies. It is also easier with a small amount of VE%, since the abilities of squad members are activated more often, and, accordingly, Nevillet, albeit indirectly, receives more energy.
A short rotation looks like this:
- As with the long rotation, start the fight by dishing out buffs and activating Nevillet's passive, as well as providing him with full energy.
- After using all the power-ups, switch to Nevillet and activate him elemental skill.
- Pick up 3 Drops and hit the enemy charged attack Weighted verdict. After it's finished, run elemental explosion, again pick up 3 Drops from 6 and perform another charged attack one time.
- Return to your allies and refresh their buffs, which by that time have either just ended or will soon cease to have effect. Try to do everything quickly so that the remaining 3 Drops do not disappear.
- Play as Nevillet again and activate charged attack. After that use elem. skill, pick up the Drops that appear and attack again.
- After the buffs run out, repeat from step 1.
Сonclusion
Nevillet is an excellent 5⭐ Hydro damage dealer who plays through the use of charged attacks. It has a unique mechanic that allows you to charge an attack and enhance it with other skills. Nevillet's passive implies a squad with several elements, but this does not mean that you cannot experiment with the character and his gameplay. Nevillet's builds are quite varied and simple, since he only needs HP and crit. damage increases as you level up.
