How to start the quest Harbinger of Destruction and the Last Petition
To unlock the quest Harbinger of Destruction and the Last Petition, complete the following requirements:
- The account must have at least 28 adventure rank;
- the last quest is completed "The Promise of the Chosen One" from the line "The Lost Traveler in the Abode of Ashes";
- completed quest "Like the scorching sun that illuminates the darkness" from the cycle "Notes on a Lost City";
- the final task has been completed "Revelations of the Past" from the chain "Between Promise and Oblivion";
- two collected Golden petitions.
The quest will start automatically if all the specified requirements are met. If you have not previously collected the Golden Petitions, after receiving them, you can return to the location through a special teleport on the Heart of the Sacred Mountain level, which opened during the quest Like the scorching sun that illuminates the darkness.

Due to the peculiarities of the place where the heroes find themselves, the little saurian companion will have to go the rest of the way alone, meet the most unexpected acquaintances and even reveal a big secret about himself.
Submit a golden petition
Once both Golden Petitions are collected, head to the central island of the Heart of the Sacred Mountain location and bring them to the monument in the center of the stone structure.
Enter the light
After the cutscene, a ladder will appear above the pedestal where the petitions were presented. Climb it and enter the light. Before moving, a hint will appear on the screen: "Step into the light and let the flames of the Sacred Mountain cleanse everything. The next part of the story will be quite intense.". Despite the warning, the rest of the game will only take about 15-20 minutes and will consist mainly of dialogues and cutscenes.
Defeat the Mechanical Source Dragon
Once you find yourself in an unusual location, go ahead and explore the arena. Instead of an active squad, you will have to control a test Traveler of the element that the main character on the account belongs to at the time of passing.
Once you reach the arena, the hero will be attacked by the Ancient Mechanical Source Dragon: The Mechanism of the Final Trial. At this point, fighting the dragon on your own is pointless. Dodge the attacks and wait for the enemy's special attack, during which he will imprison the Traveler and Paimon in a cage. The imprisonment will trigger the notification "All party members have died", after which the action will move on to the Saurian companion.
Save your friends
Once you start controlling the Tepetlisaur, approach the cage with the Traveler and wait for the arrival of the Sage of the Stolen Flame, who will transport the baby to another location.
Talk to the one who calls himself Kukulkan
In the new location, talk to the dragon who introduces himself as Kukulkan and follow him from one island to another. During the dialogue, you will be able to learn a lot of important information about dragons, their civilization and the structure of Natlan.
Go to where Huitzilopochtli is
In the final part of the conversations with Kukulkan, the saurian companion will have to make an important choice and decide what to do with Natlan: accept the offer of the Sage of the Stolen Flame or reject it. During the dialogue, you will have to answer the question: "First confirmation. Are you sure you want to activate Huitzilopochtli?".
The following answer will slightly affect the development of the plot:
- I confirm activation.
- Cancel activation!
If you refuse even once, the quest plot will continue. Three confirmations in a row will open an unusual cut-scene, but in the end you will still be asked to cancel the operation.

Step onto the path you created
After making a choice regarding Huitzilopochtli, go to the exit of the location and climb the stairs. Returning to the real world, you will receive the achievement Creating the Desired Path.
Return to friends
Follow the path back to the arena, smashing the messages from Kukulkan that appear. Destroy them with a normal attack of the Tepetlisaur, pressing RMB. Release the companions from the cage, getting close enough to them.
How to kill the mechanical dragon of the source
After rescuing the Traveler, the battle with the Ancient Mechanical Source Dragon will continue. Attack the enemy with the Saurian and watch for its special attacks. When you receive a warning from Paimon or see time slowing down, activate the companion's special skill. It can also be used when the enemy imprisons the hero.
Sometimes after activating the skill, you will have to hide under the barrier created by the Saurian. Hide inside to avoid taking damage from the boss's attacks. Defeat the enemy using the Traveler's normal attacks, skills, and super ability.
